Price is high, but I thought I'd pass this one along (quoted post below):
I am posting this for a long time family friend and SCCA member- the car is in amazing condition, the photos do not do it justice. She is selling it due to retirement. Currently the car is located in Virginia Beach, VA- I am happy to arrange delivery to anywhere in the country- if you have questions please contact me directly at heyward(dot)wagner(at)gmail(dot)com.
Thank you-

Just to clear that up, Sam is short for Samantha LOL!
And she is hooked on the 3rd gens. Even though we need a new 4 seater for the family car, and we both want the RX-8, she told me to get a roller to fix Holly first
I love her!

I just got back from the body shop.
Estimated price of repair: a surprising $2194.83
That's a cut n' weld of the rear quarter, straightening of the door shell, replacing the rear bumper assembly, replacing a tail light, frame puller time, and some new paint.
I thought it would be more. We'll see though if there is more hidden damage underneath. I'm still not too optimistic about it not being totaled.

Not to be pessimistic Chris, but if they agreed to all that, I'd take that check and run. Buy a shell for $300 and do a swap. Seriously, there was a nice shell on here in the last week or two, but red.
^^^ Exactly what I had told him to do, but he's weary of the work involved. Luckily enough for him, to get him on his way all he has to do is find one with a blown motor and swap the engine. The rest can come later.
Damn, you know I should have bought that FC base shell a few months back when I had the money, cuz I'd be needing to get rid of a white S4 with a maroon interior with no engine, tranny, fender, or hood. lol

Wow its hard to believe that Mike is gone at such a young age, Carlos and I were just talking about him over the weekend. Carlos got the engine thats in his car from Mike years ago and its been a damn strong engine ever since. It actually outlasted 2 other engines.
^^ LOL Juno finally has her own user name! Clever..
Chris, find yourself another FB to at least swap the motor over into. If you'd like to paint it, you can borrow my gun. You could also go the cheap route and get the paint that I did currently on my car... done in an enclosed space and not outside, it would probably come out pretty nice.
Another fog light burned out on the Maxima. Damnit.

Drivers side one? Mine too! lol
So the FC runs! Well, sort of. I got everything hooked up this evening and it starts up fine, but then if you don't hold the RPM's above 2500, it dies out. If it dips below 2000 RPM, it dies 80% of the time. I'm guessing that there might be something unhooked or a vacuum leak, or maybe something else. I'm going to check everything over tomorrow evening after work, and if I can't figure it out, I'm going to get 2 LED's to wire up to see what code's it's throwing.
Since school let out last week, I've been working 9-5, so I haven't got much time to work on it anymore. Next week, my boss will be out of town, so I'll have all week to get the car ready, move my stuff into my new house, and get everything set up.
Speaking of that, I still want to host a meet at my house sometime this summer. It's a little place back in the boonie's since I'm poor, but it's cool and decent.
