Old guys with 12As club meeting
#1001
So guys, I'm up at Collins now. I'm spending the night here, and tomorrow we'll be 'rolling' up to Cracker Barrell together. We both just washed the FC's too And I grabbed my jug of antifreeze and tire pump just in case someone needs them (but hopefully we wont have to break 'em out). So see ya'll in the morning!

I was in Cordele, GA, drifting the M3 until 3 am this morning, and got home about 6:30... Sorry no cracker barrel and driving for me
Don't know about the wheels. I'll have to check. You want them!? 17x7s aren't my style. Going for more like a 17x8 or 17x9....
Its nice to have a 7 again. I was a bit like a school girl driving it around the other night when i got it. Reminds me of my old red car, only not crashed and with tasteful suspension mods.

And the mountain meet was great. As soon as we got into NC, those first curves were amazing. Maybe just to me since I've never really drove like that... I dont know. And meeting those new people was cool. The malibu kid was a little rice...

And also, did you guys see this? I laughed until the tears flowed.

Looks like Crit's house.

Ray, I'm crying as I laugh my way through part 1. It feels good to know I'm not the only moron to go through such an ordeal. I'm sure his camera looked like my wall in the end.
At 3:20, you get this...
Guy 1 - "I can't see ****, can you?"
Guy 2 - "Okay, again!"
Great find, Ray.

I know, I'm dying just thinking about it. It's on one of the other forums. It looks like they guy is perfectly serious. Why don't you give him a hand Crit?

And here's what we know so far, in addition to the videos:
"well here is a video of my RX7 Running. i think i need a new fuel pump or my fuel filter."
Hey I just noticed the OGTA thread has over 1000 posts now and over 18,000 views. We are closing in on those Carolina boys.

Nahh, I was just curious. I did want to ask you about the old phonedials though, because I saw them in a picture. Do you still have them? Are you going to use them for anything or could I buy then off of you so I could have some old tires mounted on them for some fun?

I would sell you the phone dials, but i only have three . If you can source another one you'd be set lol.
Glad to hear the meet turned out well.

There's a bastardized FC at pullapart in Buford. It's got the rare 18-lug setup (4 rear, 5 front). On the back, there are phonedials. Go get 'em, or I'll snag them for you later in the week. They're $11.50 each, plus a buck to get on the yard. I'll charge an extra two beers if you want me to pick them up.
By the way, if anyone has a set of precats for an 81-85 car or a speedo cable, let me know. My SE has a new radiator and is road-ready, except that it bogs bad once you get past 3000 revs. I suspect clogged precats, but I can't run an open header near the house. If anyone has a pair of precats I can borrow to chase a hunch, that would be marvelous.

I say quit being a wuss and run the open headers, but that's just me. You can have my stock exhaust though. The rest of what's left of the cat should just shake right out.

Do I hear Donnie mumbling something about actually showing up with that Silver 79 this time?
And maybe even Crit and the SE?
Another FB or two and we could have a record!
And if Roland brings the brown RX3....
And whoah, while I'm posting this, an old guy from Hoschton chirps in! Gene, that son wouldn't be Paul would it? He's the one who started this club.
Here's Paul at the 1st OG@TA meeting, with "his" beautiful 79 SA:
