Mike I'm not sure if late shows count toward the official 12A count. You'll have to submit a request for consideration to the OGTA Remediation Committee, with a full report detailing cars, drivers, reasons for late arrival and a worksheet indicating the revised 12A statistics.
[/QUOTE]

Do you need that in triplicate or fourplicate?

Don't worry Andy and Zach helped me drink the beer and we did a mighty fine job.

Board certification will do with fee receipts.

So what did you guys decide, is the SA, the FB or the FC the better car?

Did you guys see this tune that just came out of Japan? No wonder they figured out the secret of the FB. Buddhism is starting to make sense to me.

Man I missed a good turnout yesterday! Nice showing everyone. I hope to see many of you at the MITTY. Garage Zero was out in force last year and will/should be there again in true old school fashion. I am trying to decide what to drive down. I guess it will depend on if the FB is finished or not.

Hey Billy, How do you get the tach reading without a signal running the trailing coil? I would like to ditch both stock coils as I am only running my leading plugs with the FC coil. I must be overlooking something easy.

Tack output on the my MSD box. If you are not running an MSD box you can get it from the negative side of the leading coil. This flip flopped from Mazda between old school, SAs and FBs. Either leading or trailing will give you the same reading.

Happy Birthday. Sorry I would like to take the credit for doing the calendars, but I can't, I just gave you one. I'm sure Ray will add you for next years.

A clear sunny day, dropping down to about 80 degrees F at 6:00 pm, with the first arrivals. Several new folks and a nice collection of cars. Total 12A equivalent count was 20.08, not a record but close (the current record is 21 12A equivalents, set on a regular Tuesday evening meeting last summer).

For now, here’s the 12A count:

3 SA’s = 4.5 12A’s (Andy the Elder, Andy the Younger, Gene)
1 SE = 1 12A (Alex)
6 FB’s = 6 12’s (Ben, Juno, Geraldo, Mike, Ray, Dean)
4 FC’s = 2 12A’s (Kristy, Zach, Ricky, Chris)
1 FD = 0.33 12A’s (Dan)
2 RX8’s = 0.25 12A’s (Holly, Alan)
1 RX2 = 2 12A’s (Billy)
1 RX3 = 2 12A’s (Jeremy)
1 REPU = 2 12A’s (Crit)
4 Boingers = 0 12A’s (Collin and Brett’s MaxiPads, Tim’s Lotus and New Guys Irvin and Penny’s 3rd gen Miata)
I thought Kristy's PreProd counts as .75, so that is 20.33
And, if Collin and Brett would have driven their FCs we would have had a record.

Zach, we'd love to see your pictures!
Gregory showed up in his piston vehicle. He has some rotary projects in the works.
Late shows are better than NO SHOWS. So this means we have a new record Ray.

??? Piston Vehicles = 0 12A's???

I look forward to meeting Gregory and his wankels, but rotary projects in the works aren't rotary projects in the parking lot. I mean, you and Billy showed up for meetings in boingers for years and we didn't give you guys 12A credits. Were does this extra 12A credit come from?

Sorry Ray, I guess I didn't have all the details, I was posting from reading. I was never suggesting we count boingers as 12A points. I was adding a full point for Cory's late show. And the additional agreed upon .25 points for Kristy's preprod.

Unless something goes **** up with the last email I sent to the track.........

We have some exiting news for Zoom-Fest this year. I wanted the old guys crew to be the first to hear.

For 2010 Zoom-Fest we have decided to take over the entire Talladega Grand Prix facility and add a open track day with "Time Attack". The track day will be open to anyone with any level of driving experience. You will be classed in a group that matches your skill level and car modifications. We will limit the track day to the first 40 who sign up but the standard Zoom-Fest festivities will be open to any number of attendees.

Bottom line is that we will hold the same events and happenings you have grown to enjoy at Zoom-Fest and by adding the track event portion we plan for the event to double in size this year.

You can keep tabs on the progress and sign up by visiting:

From us it is 6 hrs and 6 minutes( 350 miles)..

Yeah kinda suprised that it is not at RA. Did we do something to displease the SCCA? Or just that they won't let us have too much fun without lots of $$ for insurance etc..

I guess it will be nice to have time attack though should be pretty fun and hard nosed grudges to fight for the honors. Is there any other events going on at the track that weekend besides us?

I guess as long as there is a ZF I don't really care where it is held. As long as there is a track involved

This could get interesting...

BTW, is "**** up" a good thing or a bad thing?

And I was just getting the hang of the curves at Road Atlanta....

Mike, **** up are better than **** down. I think it's a British saying, something about three days in a row without a repair to the MGB.

Absolutely not. They were happy for us to comeback. Problem is for us to have our own track day the rental fee for RA would be 10K. By us moving it, only 1.5 hours from Road Atlanta, we get to introduce the track day. The three 30 minute sessions is a huge amount of track time.

.....and "**** up" is a bad thing as far as the saying goes.

So I guess I missed it somewhere, but when does registration for everything open? I've got the funds for track time this year and the FC should be finished, so I want to be on top of things
