Hey, that Initial D's just like the one I'm looking at. And for under $20, it's metal and what not, so sounds like a good deal to me. And I'm watching the bid on a red FC like the white model you showed above.

Anyways, I saw a tornado silver S4 today with a T2 hood. I didn't have any of your card's handy Ray, but I left him a note under his wiper on how he can get to the thread, my number, and this meet coming up. So maybe, I'll get a call or something

So now, I'm off to do homework... and print OGTA cards

Guy's next Tuesday is the meet. Looks like we may have a couple of out of town dignitaries. This could be a good showing, if all us locals show up. Ray may have to use his fingers and toes for the official 7 count.

Bad news. I've been down with the flu this week and probably won't be making it down there for the meet. I'll have to reschedule.

I will be driving down to Fitzgerald GA this weekend, but I'll be in the other mazda (Navajo). I bought a ceramics kiln on ebay that I have to pickup. Looks like a 6+ hour drive one way. I have to limit my self to one GA trip per month

That's a shame Tim, get better! That flu has been making the rounds these last few weeks. Stop by the house if you need a break in your travels to get the kiln.

And do reschedule, we want to see the new work you did on the SA.

Michael, you going to make it down? Next Tuesday, March 4th, 7:00 pm at Jeffery's in Suwanee. You can caravan down with Chagar! It's always good to see you Carolina boys.

Mike, do I count as an out of town dignitary? I can count up to 10 and do some fractions, just not 1/3's.

It's a teenager thing Collin, you'll get over it in a few years. But in the mean time please stop by anytime!

Michael reminds me, it is time for us to think about another weekend meeting so that folks who live further away can make it and we can get some carbs rebuilt.

There's also that Mountain Day Mike was talking about earlier? Any suggestions? We can make some decisions next Tuesday.

Ray

Ray! Did you see me in the Jetta earlier with the car topper? I honked and flashed at you as you rounded the corner onto Brockton.. hehe Fast on that light switch, huh?

Anyways, I vote for March 22nd to be the mountain meet!

I also may be trading my Jetta soon for a '97 Sebring 5-speed. It's a black cherry coupe with some body damage, but it's got a proper gearbox and only 138k on the clock. Drove it tonight. Makes me miss my 2Ga Eclipse!

What's all this talk about boinger's Collin? And a "Sebring" sounds like it my have been made in Detroit. Have you lost your mind?

And yes, you are fast on that light switch. At first I thought I was coming up on the speed trap they set on that corner but when I saw the Domino's beany, I realized who it was.

March 22 sounds good to me, let's get some buy in from the Carolina boys if they are reading this and I will bounce Mike's Mountain trip thread, if I can find it. Then we can settle a date on Tuesday.

Well, the halfshafts and CV joints are perfectly fine. A friend of mine and his ASE certified neighbor all worked on it for a while, and we concluded it was the gears in the differential. When we drained the fluid, I put a magnent into the hole and a ton of metal chips came out. So tomorrow his daughter and I are gonna look for one around here. Anyone have one they'd be happy to part with for cheap?

And I guess Collin'll be taking me to the meet on Tuesday...

What's the problem with the car, Brett? I've got some 5lug hubs in Sugar Hill if it would help you, but I'm personally in India, still. Got to ride an old british single through the countryside, up and down the Himalayas, and back to Delhi, so it's not all bad

India? Wow, that's gotta be interesting. So I guess we wont be seeing you at the meet . As for the car, the gears in the differential gave up after 250K and the PO beating the hell out of them.

Crit, did you ever listen to my voicemail message that I left you?? The 'vert in pull-a-part has lost it's CVs, so the nuts you couldn't get off have been removed.

Ray... It's a '97 Sebring Coupe lx. Dual-cam 420a motor and the five speed gearbox out of the 2G DSMs. Technically it's a modified Galant chassis, but for the most part it's a stretched 2G job. Needs some work. Quite a bit. Body work mostly. Burns some oil but leaks most of what goes. Needs new front brakes because the rotors are somewhat warped. It also needs new tires and a new window switch.

All in all, it's a much better deal for her than it is for me if we do end up trading or whatever. She deserves a better car, seriously. So I hope she goes for it.

No Collin, no voicemails for me. I removed the passenger's nut but the sleeve inside the rubber bushing had slid out of place upwards, and had lodged between the rubber bushing and the bore in the caliper for the screw, basically just reattaching the connection I had taken loose earlier. Except of course, that you no longer have a fastener to unscrew, but rather a sleeve that's still pinning the hub to the giant lower link thingy but without any good way of removing it. I wrestled with it, but no luck. If y'all can save them, I've got the fronts.

Yeah, India sucks pretty bad. Poverty, trash, smoke (people burning poo to stay warm) and oxen pulling carts down the road. The guys in the country are still living in the middle ages - truly amazing. The mountain roads were badass, but my buddies all either chickened out or broke down, so only I made it, and with no camera. Good times, though, and I got to lay the bike down, learn a lesson, and it wasn't mine.

So I met the nicest guy today. His name's Bob and he's in Alpharetta. I bought a S5 open differential off of him for $50. And I mentioned how my differential mount was broken and welded, and he gave me one for free. And he's got a complete black interior he said he'd practically give me for a hundred. Anyways, great guy.

As of now, my car has no rear end. We should be putting in the new one this Wednesday maybe, and then it might be ready to roll. So hopefully I'll have a car next weekend. And, expect me at the meet with Collin.

Brett, I'll be there at around 3pm Tuesday to pick you up since no doubt you'll want to show me something....

Bit flustered right now, but it'll pass.

With my tax refund, I'm going to buy KYB AGX for my FC to ride on. Ray, how well versed are you in basic suspension work?

Nice to see you have a garage to work in Brett and that you will be making it down tomorrow night with Collin. Collin, I haven't had to do any suspension work on any of my FBs over the last seven years, along with the 12A motor the FB suspension is pretty much bullet proof.

Hey Crit, what's happening in India? Work or vacation? (Sounds like vacation). If you can't make it back to the states in time, one of us can pick up the SE and bring it to the meeting.

Nah, he's there for work.

Don't think I'm going to be able to make this one. I will be leaving town for a vacation myself. Going to try to make the next one though.
