I kinda' like this one better, has more pizzzazz:

But we can list them all under the May Calendar options and let The People decide.

Here's what we've got so far:

January 2010 - The OGTA Card (Ray; this could be part of a collage)
February 2010 - The White One Under Snow (optional, if no one has a better winter shot - Ray)
March 2010 - OGTA crew putting the 13B in Chris' Sexy Pants II
April 2010 - Crit's REPU shot of the "Rotary Power" Tailgate (Ray, or Chris' version)
May 2010 - Billy's wide body (various photos)
June 2010 - Blue SA (Roland)
July 2010 - The White One at Zoomfest (Ray)
August 2010 - Brown RX3 (Roland)
September 2010 - Brett's diagonal shot
October 2010 - Old School Month
November 2010 - Chris' hoods?
December 2010 - FC, FD and RX-8 month (collage)
January 2011 -

How about the pic of the 1st, 2nd (mine), and 3rd (Jeremy's) at the Old Skool Japanese Car meet? I forget who has the pic. I think the 1st gen was also white.

I think the feature single pics months should be 1st gens, old school, or 12A powered ONLY. Then we can do a couple of month with collages.

Ray can you mark at least one month for Kristy to put together a collage? Thanks.

And Ray, I gave you $10 at Twisted Tavern, $5 was for the 1st gen calendar donation, and the other $5 was from Kristy for generating this new OGTA calendar.

This is disappointing...

http://www.corksport.com/blog/2012-r...beast-is-back/

Ray, we'll probably need to use the picture Billy mentioned, only because it's a higher resolution one than the one you've got. Unless there was a ReSpeed collage, you know

Brett, a lot of times when you look at true Old School Rotaries, I mean the really good ones that have been around awhile and driven and worked on and that have something besides "0" for the left hand digit on the odometer, resolution doesn't work nearly as well as a good karmic image that reveals the soul of the car. Chris' 1st gen calendar has resolution, we want our OGTA calendar to have soul.

And I'm with Holly on the collages, Kristy gets the January 2011 slot and the specialty groups can have the entire month of December 2010 for all those other cool rotaries like FC's, FD's and RX-8's.

And this, with a 16X, I could live with, personally:

Not right for an OGTA calendar, but it would look good in my drive.

So here's what we've got so far (still a draft of course, let's hear from the dissenters!):

Cover: Brett's OGTA sign
January 2010 - The OGTA Card (Ray; this could be part of a collage; Maybe Andy's SA here?)
February 2010 - The White One Under Snow (optional, if no one has a better winter shot - Ray)
March 2010 - OGTA crew putting the 13B in Chris' Sexy Pants II
April 2010 - Crit's REPU shot of the "Rotary Power" Tailgate (Ray, or Chris' version)
May 2010 - Billy's wide body (various photos)
June 2010 - Blue SA (Roland)
July 2010 - The White One at Zoomfest (Ray)
August 2010 - Brown RX3 (Roland)
September 2010 - Brett's diagonal shot
October 2010 - Old School Month (group shot or a collage of the OGTA Old School's; we could include Andy's mint SA here as our only example of an unmolested Old School)
November 2010 - Chris' hoods? Or maybe Andy's SA?
December 2010 - FC, FD and RX-8 month (collage)
January 2011 - Kristy's collage

And Holly, I've got you down for the $10. As soon as I get my notes together for my Monday class I'm going to do the accounting and make a final announcement for folks who want in on the second batch of Chris' 1st gen calendars.

Roland says calendar printing costs by the professionals are real expensive, so I'm thinking we should home school these beggars, print them out on my photo quality printer so the only cost will be ink and paper. I'll start cranking out some pdf prototypes soon as I get those notes done.

Speaking of that new RX-7 they're making in 2012, here's a classic design. A free OGTA calendar to anybody who can identify it? A hint: It was produced by a car company that is still in business.

1949-56 Saab 92? I had to research though, I didn't know off the top of my head...

Wow, a 2 cyl engine with 25hp and a top speed of 65 mph

Good explanation

I'm disappointed at how much the new RX7 resembles the current RX8. I'd imagine it would've followed the smooth lines of the FD. It would be nice if the interior were half decent instead of tons of plastic junk, but lets get real. The hump on the hood reminds me of the Miata's hood, and the grill/ fogs are ugly like the new Mazda3's. The 16X does excite me though, maybe I'll have the ***** to test drive one when they come out.

Wrong, no free calendar for you yet. Try again.

They need to make the new RX-7 look like this. With a 16X, a Nikki carb and one of those blue air scoops:

yup, it's a '47, nice work Brett. You win an OGTA Calendar!!

Colin that picture used to be a false colored poster of a '47 Saab 92 cruising in the mountains, but I guess GM high jacked the link.

Anybody know how to upload a pdf?

Wouldn't it be cool, if we got a pic of Rick Engman and his 12A? Afterall, he did make it up to one of our meetings in 2009. We could get Jim Downing and one of his old race cars maybe next year, when the gator aid car is complete.

That'll work. We can sub in any picture for any month, you just need the votes. Here's what we got so far, except I don't have the cover page and a page for January 2011 yet and we need to chose some photos for Old School Month in October. Please make suggestions for improvement:

Ray, the calendar is lookin great. I like that you chose the pics at the OGTA Meeting sites. I hope that gray RX-8 on the curb does not stay. I bet she doesn't even know she has a wankel in that thing.

Not enough snow Ben!

Roland has sent me some more photos of the RX-3 and wants to try a collage for August, so I'll fix that one up later today and maybe get some stuff for October's "Old School Month".

And while we are on the subject, I need to send in another order for Chris' 1st gen calendars soon, so here's what I've got for the order so far:

1. Michael ($5.00) - will order
2. Colin - $5 collected for purchase of 1st gen calendar - will order
3. Ben - $5 collected for purchase of 1st gen calendar - will order
4. Ace - will order
5. Roland - will order
6. Donnie?
7. Greg the Elder?
8. Others?

Let me know if you want one! It looks like our OGTA reserves are used up but we can still get you one for a $10 donation and shipping, if you need it. (But free delivery if you pick yours up at the February OGTA meeting!)

Here's a few updated pages for the OGTA calendar, things are filling in so it's time to speak up if you want to add or change anything!

Here's the Cover:

August:

October:

December:

Holly, you and Kristy need to get busy on that January 2011 lay out!

Heh heh, we've always got room for a '67 Bronco Zach, who says we discriminate against boingers?

Check this out, it's funny. Posted by a newbie from Texas on the tech forum.

Sure that isn't Peter Krnich, I think you're also his friend on facebook. He was telling me last week how he got some FD wheels. Was it a T2, and did you notice the one T2 and the other GTU fender? lol
