Hey guys, bummer bummer! Ben and I can't make it tonight. The front brake calipers locked up on my car and have chewed through my pads... And last night Ben's car died. He said it was something like the fuel pulsation dampener. He's been working on them, but I've been at work all day so I guess we'll see you guys on the 12th. Hope you can make it!

Looks like I'm out of this one too, I got way behind today and now Cathy's out of town, the sun's going down and all the animals are looking at me like I got food.

Quad and Billy, can we arrange another pick up for the FSM and brackets? I'll be cruising down 85 through Suwanee tomorrow morning around 6:00 am and then again around 3-4, is there some place I can drop the stuff off?

Somebody take some pictures and count up the 12As!

2010 1st Gen Calendars!

For you 1st gen guys (and gals), the 2010 1st gen calendars are going on sale soon. These are really cool and they showcase cars from users on this site.

https://www.rx7club.com/1st-gen-general-discussion-207/2010-rx7-calendar-817024/page5/

Ray has a copy of the 2009 one if you want to see what they look like.

Hopefully, we can get Andy to get his car in the 2011 one.

I work at Fry's off the Pleasant Hill exit on 85, and live at the same exit. I'll be getting off work at 4, just come into Fry's and I'll get you your cash. I think I've only got $21 on me, so I hope that will suffice until the January meet.

As for the meet tonight, it was fun. Finally getting to bring a rotary to a rotary engine meet. And I apologize to Kevin (the one with the blue RX8) for stalling at the light. I forgot to turn the fuel pump on, and I dumped all that gas quick.

Anywho, Geraldo and I had a fun stroll passing some 18 wheelers on the way home. He ripped it, so I ripped it, and we both just coasted. It was fun pulling my car to it's limits again. I'm always very hesitant on the roads (and with good reason). I did get a really sweet backfire after I cut the car off though. I wonder if that's related to the lack of tuning on the Holley.

Hopefully tomorrow I'll have some time after work to tune the Holley to get the idle down and the idle mixtures right so it stops gurgling on turns....

P.S. Roland-How much would it cost me to have you do my motor swap? Not that I don't trust these guys and their abilities, I just figure with your shop and ample space and concrete floors, it would be much faster.

Since Ray didn't come out, here's a pic of Russ' 23k original mile Silver 93 fd.

It was nice to have some guys from NC come down and follow me up 85. Hope to see you all soon or at least next month.

And also, does anyone know how much oil to premix? My OMP is kinda sorta hooked up, but for the sake of safety, let's say it's blocked off. How much oil per tank do I put in?

And Ben/Juno-I couldn't get that day off work. So I can show, but it'll be wicked late, and I mean like midnight-ish... Sorry....

Quad
For FC's, it's 1 ounce for every gallon without the OMP and 1 ounce for every 2 gallons with the OMP, so you decide which you'd like. Normal 2 stroke oil works fine, I copied Collin and use some Castrol in a blue bottle with a lawn mower on it from autozone that's TCW3 or TC3 certified.

I got this count for tonight: (I suck with names...)(and points!)

-2 SA- Tim and Andy- 3 points
-1 Repu- Crit- 2 points?
-4 FB- Mike, Dave, Kevin, and the PAP guy- 4 points
-2 FC- Collin and Brett (I was gonna suprise you Ray!) - 1 point
-2 FD- Russ and damnit I forgot his name - .33 point
-2 RX8- Kevin III and I forgot his name too - .25 point

So I'll say 10.58 points, someone correct me if I missed someone.

I'm glad the FC got to make it to one last meet before I tear him apart. Even if it did smoke up the parking lot when I pulled in after redlining it... haha

Brett, to correct you, it's Valvoline not Castrol.

Nice meet tonight everyone! Even if we had some traitors in the group...

Glad I finally got my eight bucks worth of smiles and laughs with my strobes... I'm going to get more when I'm not broke just because I can...and white and amber are totally legal when parked.

Crit's house is the only thing I know in that area for a drop off. I am sure I would see him this weekend.

Sorry I could not make it last night. A friend and coworker died over the holiday and I went to the visitation (ugh!)

Juno/Ben/Andrew which one of you has the red 7? I saw you Thanksgiving day on Five Forks Trickum at Rock Bridge (those hoods are distinctive).

Ray do you have 1 or 2 '85 FSMs for sale?

So I'll say 10.91 points, corrected by Holly.

Kristy, AJ, Roland, Roland Jr. & Holly showed up in boingers.

Brett, my corrections are in bold above. We did a count at the end of the table and wrote it down, Andy took it with him to post, if he ever remembered his password.

Ray, pics were limited. We need you to show up to these monthly meets and NO excuses. I mean if Tim and Dave can make it down from North Carolina in their SA & FB, on a cold night, you certainly can make the 30 minute drive in an FB.

Kevin, if you need a hobby you'd do well to buy the TII. It'll be broke down in no time!

I am totally responsible and it's all my fault. Looks like I missed a good one, a great turn out, especially for a cold December evening. Dave said he took photos with his cell phone so hopefully he'll provide the documentation this time.

You don't mean this Tim with the SA do you?

I didn't think his wife let him out at night.

Tim, I can get you some corks for those dizzy holes if you need some, let me know.

Obviously photo documentation is essential for our records for this meet! Anybody got some?

Greg, I thought you were taking a pass on the FSM, I only have the one extra but I'm sure I can find another if you want one ($25-$30 delivered is all I'll pay for one on line). Since Quad's cars are pretty much in need of constant repair let's let him have this one and I'll find another for you?

Billy I'm home with a sick dog today but I'll drop this by Crit's first chance I get

Its ok Ray, I really just wanted to see Mike and Holly. Its ok if you like to cuddle up with your animals on a cold night instead, we understand, but the Humane Society may not.

Rays house where men are men and goats are nervous

Ray you missed a ride in the SA with the Del Horto too! You also missed a live alternator rebuild by the group on Colins (?) car. (Sorry if I missspelled you name)

Dave was a flaming you on the way down and back? Got any pics of the flamagation?

Whoever has pics post em up.

Oh no... Here we go again, servicing goats.

I know there is at least one picture (I think Holly took it) showing me with the NC guys and a glass of Yuengling. The glass of Yuengling was for you Ray, if you had only been there.

BTW, I had your Haynes manual with me last night, Ray. When we took the trip to Augusta it got left in my car somehow.

I'm not dead, AND I even have a running rx7 again! (ok it always ran, but soon when I get time to post a short build thread, you can see the many many little issues that needed sorting).

I didn't make it out last night, but as soon as I get my alignment sorted and touch up n' go over some stuff that needs to be checked and re-tightened since reassembly, I plan on poking in more often. But the car runs like a raped ape and I am 115% in love again.

Thanks

Speaking of corks... I need a couple to block off the AC lines in the blue car. If you have any of those in your bucket-o-corks, Ray. Other than play with the timing and carb, the only thing I have done to it is pull the AC compressor. You got me all fired up to try to go without AC in the blue one now that I have sun roof. I am going to pull all of the under hood AC components as part of getting on the road.

Mike becomes a Man, ditches the AC. Way to go Mike, you will feel better immediately. I'll get you some corks.

Will do on the FSM Greg, I'll snag the next one I see.

And you guys who are harassing me about the goats, I know you're just jealous because you don't have any. Someday, when you become Old and Wise and have many miles behind the wheel of an FB, you will fence the back yard and get some goats. Only then will you be truly happy.

Tim and Dave, I can't believe I missed the chance to see Dave's FB and to give Tim's del Horto a spin around the block. LET ME KNOW WHEN YOU'RE COMING NEXT TIME!

Dave, Holly, Anybody? Got pics of last night's meet?
