Hey, guys [and Holly]. As some of you should remember, Andrew, Ben, and I all moved back in October and were looking to have a winter meet at our house. Well, as the walrus said, "the time as come!" We're looking to make this work for everyone so let me know how Saturday, December 12th around 10 or 11 am works out for you guys. We want you all to come so we're gonna try and swing it so that everyone's schedule suits the date. In addition, we have parking for maybe 20+ cars.
It'll be a cold, all day event complete with raging bonfire, burgers, and the beer you provide (haha). Hope you guys can come by! Just reply here or text Ben or whatever if you have any questions. Don't know what they wanted me to do about the address so I guess that will be posted in the near future.
Thanks! -Juno

Thanks for stepping forward to host an event though.

Yeah the goats work really well for that, I plan to use them myself once I get my rogue acre fenced in. You got some problem bushes? They'll work for a case of beer.
Juno et al, your rotary bash sounds like a great idea in need of a date. Have you got some alternatives? We could do the last Saturday in November, a weekend meet instead of the routine first Tuesday night at Jefferies get together (it's pretty dark at 6:30 pm right now anyway, hard to take pictures).

I hope it was safe down there. I remember parking last year for the ice skating deal when my passenger door wouldn't lock...
So here's all my babes together. As well as the awesome black leather interior of the Maxima

It's fine, I park in a parking garage for the school. My friend has a parking pass there so he just lets me in with it and since they don't have my car on record at the school I can just rip up the tickets they write and not worry about it.

Ray, weren't you into Datsuns or something like that? Maybe I'm thinking of the MG's...

Yea we have a little parking **** patrol. If it were the actual cops doing it I wouldn't park there at all. The other reason why it's safe to do it is because on the highest floor of the garage ( which is p1 I believe, there are only 4 floors) there is a clearance that tow trucks can't pass so I park past that so the car can't be towed.

That's okay Brett...if you want to have a lump sedan war, we can do that. I might be picking up a Crown Vic P71 as a school car as well. It'll likely still have a pit-bar, a few more horsies and some pre-existing body damage as well, sooo...I think I may win when I push you into a ditch.
Sound good? Good.
On a serious side note, I will admit, with all of the commuting my car is going to do next year...I'm just not sure anymore. I average around 22mpg lately....if I work at it a little bit by drafting more trucks I can get 24mpg with my driving style (Which isn't exactly a slow moving thing..)... However, it's still just...not enough. I might need another Miata.
But, I don't want to give up Wanda..not sure what to do.

Colin, you could just give her to me as a Christmas present and I'll take good care of her. That way I can retire Aiko and use her as a weekender. That way, when you feel the rotary itch you can drive Wanda again and I'll still have Aiko. =D

Just to keep you guys posted on Nightmare's progress. I think I may have figured out why she will randomly stop running all of a sudden. The fuel pump will randomly cut out occasionally. So I gotta figure out why it's doing that, and fix that. I really need to hardwire that **** to the battery so I can get rid of that issue. It's really irritating to be driving down the middle of the road, lose pressure, and just stop...

Even more news (assuming you guys can actually access the site, it's been really hit and miss for me lately).
The fuel pump will run on start up, but will cut off after the key is back in the on position.
I really need to just do the engine swap, and be done with it. That should solve that issue in a jiffy.

Sounds like there may be a few new cars at the December meet, I'll see if I can get Mike to drive the Blue One and ask Michelle to drive the Gray Ghost, that'll boost the 12A count significantly.
Kevin be careful with that fuel pump hard wiring, there's a reason they have it relayed. You could end up with your fuel tank emptying at an inappropriate time.
Chances are the pump is good, but you should check this by doing the performance test described in the FAC (basically stick a milk jug under the fuel feed to the carb and see how long it takes to fill up).
If the pump is good check the rear ignitor and it's connections, they may be weak and fading out from time to time, causing your symptoms. Does your tachometer also get squirrelly when you lose pressure?
The fuel pump feeds off the rear igniter so it won't keep running if the car stalls out, like after a crash when you don't want fuel squirting all over the place. The tach is also feeding off the rear igniter, so you will get both symptoms at the same time if it is the cause.
And yes, I think the RX-7 club site is having some rear igniter issues too, it keeps fading out from time to time, takes too long to load. I'll bet Kent is up to another one of his tricks, watch your sigs everybody.
