Old guys with 12As club meeting
#6526
Thanks Kevin, I'm still doing a lot of cleaning and painting and will be in and out running some errands today, so I don't think today is the day I'll be putting it all together, that will be tomorrow (hopefully). If you can make it either day, give me a call at home (706-367-4681) so we can get coordinated, I really appreciate it!
No better place to have a breakdown than the Jefferies parking lot during an OGTA meeting. Andy likes that all original look and feel but we've got to encourage him to start renewing at least some of those thirty year old parts. Like that dizzy with the prehistoric points in it.
Brett I had to expand the window size a bit by taking out a 2 x 6 spacer on one side of the window frame, that took about an hour (which is why I didn't want to bother the other day). Mike says he's really good at two kinds of jobs - lifting things and breaking things - so fortunately we were able to put at least some of his skills to work.
So was that the Pendergrass court? That was awfully generous of them, we could have used that cash to shore up the Jackson County tax base. Nice work!
More Silver One pictures coming at the end of the day!

Sounds like a potential impromptu OGTA meeting! Let's see if there's a good time, I'll suggest later this afternoon (around 3-4) or the same time tomorrow (Friday) afternoon, if that works for anybody. Otherwise just stop on by, I'll be out in the driveway.
I'm thinking the Silver One might make it for Saturday yet!

It is supposed to be the hottest weekend of the year this weekend. Bring sunscreen and ahat for shade on the toon!! Also lots of water. It would be great to see the silver one there Ray. I've not yet met it. I am debating doing a e-fan before I head down. It would sure clean up that bay alot...hmmm.

Yes it's going to be hot. Are you talking about (and coming down in) the FB Dave?
If so, can I have your old clutch fan? (Just kidding, I've already got about 4 in the shed. But if you don't need it.....you can never have too many clutch fans and X wheels)
I'm going to try rattle canning the piece that fit's under the wipers, I've got it out to clean and it probably won't make it any worse (Rustoleum Metallic Silver).
Cool Colin, I'm at 3405 Jefferson River Rd, Jefferson GA 30549. Does that work for you Kevin?

So, I've come up with a great way to differentiate between Colin and myself... Colin can be 'Solo' and I can be 'Doppio'...Yes, as in shots of espresso... Seeing as he uses one L, I use two.
ALSO! Ray Green himself has admitted that he sees what us young guys with 13bs are on about with our crazy confabbled FCs! I let him drive Wanda tonight...he was melting like butter in that ultra velour bucket seat with his foot flat to the floor, sliding sideways down the road..
It's very true...and shocking!

I was shocked when Ray told me that if he ever drove an FC he would probably love it, then he did!
He drove Wanda and came back with a grin that went ear to ear, kinda like Charlie Brown.
I had a great time helping Ray out, and Collin made everything more fun when he was freaking out about cleaning the interior of the car. I also found out that Ray is a crazy slacker. Every time we would get a little thing done he would want to have more beer or sit and wait for food haha. Hopefully he gets everything ready so it's running Saturday.
Ray post the pictures or our "progress"
