Well, Jeffrey's doesn't discriminate between Honda, VW, and freaking truck drivers, so they'll let you in. If you're not in a 12A, you might have to sit at the little kid's table, myself included.
The -SE still has an electrical gremlin that I'm trying to learn my way around, so it'll be at the next meet. I should have stuck to the 12A....

bummer. I have a 12a oil pan gasket in my closet that someone is welcome to have. Too bad GA is too far for this meet. If you need it ,and can wait a couple days to have it go through the mail, just let me know.
I also have a few other 12A gaskets (intake and others). When I rebuilt my SE engine, I already had a good intake, oil pan, etc. gaskets, so I got a 12A set for the rest because it was quite a bit cheaper than the SE set. These are OEM gaskets, BTW.

Double bummer... I just ordered an intake gasket, o-rings, and a carb rebuild kit from Black Dragon (formerly VB).
gsl-se addict, you don't happen to have any carb gaskets do you? If you are looking to get rid of the gaskets, I may be interested. Sooner or later I will probably need them.

Tell you what though, If no one does and you come up with a price for the pan gasket and intake gasket I will gladly purchase them from you.

Billy - from me = free. Just cover shipping is good enough for me.
Mike - I'll check. I may have one for the carb base. I just have whatever that comes in the gasket kit minus what I could use for my 13b.
I know that I have an oil pan gasket, intake, ACV, and some others. I'll take a pic in a few minutes. If you guys need any of them, just let me know. I have no need for them.

Mike - Sorry. Don't have any carb gaskets afterall.
Have a good time tonight. Let me know what you guys want to do for the OCTA business cards. The ones that I posted are just some ideas. Just let me know and I'll whip up whatever design you want.

Wow, looking like a record turnout and our first folks from Tennessee, looking forward to seeing you Chad. I will call you cell and leave a contact number for my cell in case you get lost.
Hey, can anybody bring a camera this evening to record the cars? I was going to but forgot (damn alzheimer's).

Great meet guys, too bad I had to leave early. But yeah, those FD's were just amazing I went outside and was like 'holy crap, an FD' 3 or 4 times. One day.... I'll own one...
and you know how you guys were talking about the whole screen name- name tag things? I was thinking, we all could change the custom message below our usernames to our real names. People like Ray and Crit wouldn't since their usernames the same as their name, but you get the idea. I just thought it might help, so I'm doing it
Thanks for everything Ray, and nice meeting all you new people.

Well said Brett.
I gotta say that was one of the best meetings yet. Holly was there. There were 5 FBs, 2 FCs and 2 FDs, not a record but an impressive set of cars and rotor heads. Donny (says he has an SA), Billy, Mike (gray FB), Crit (FB one of these days), Greg the Elder (FB, purple), Brett (FC, black, I think), Collin (FC, red, sorta), Jeremy (used to have a FD), Greg the Younger (juiced FB, silver), Chad (real juiced FB, white), Mike (FD, black), Richard (FD, red) and me (white FB - I might have one or two wrong, damn alzheimer's).
That adds up to 6 2/3, but Holly check the math.
Chad set a new long distance record with his 5 hour drive down from Tennessee, a real treat for everybody, since he seemed to already know everybody.
No pictures this time (guess who forgot the camera) but you can find most of the cast of characters in earlier posts. Here's one of Mike (FD), back when he was young:

LMAO, Brett, you never cease to amaze me...
Anyways, it was mine and Brett's first Tuesday OGTA meet! Fun stuff. Decent food. Kick *** pistonless machines. After people started to leave, Crit took me back to his house. For anyone that hasn't been, you should go. His RX-2 is completely going to be awesome when it's finished, and he knows a **** load from the sounds of it. He showed me how I can peek into a motor to check on the condition of the housings, and also the apex seals (which I already knew) but it never has clicked with me that if you've got a bright enough light, you can actually see the combustion zone of the hosings. Sweet!
Grace (my car) and I broke a personal record tonight, as well. As it sits in my driveway, the tripometer is at 294.4 miles. I've never driven this far on a tank of gas, and the fuel light is just now starting to flicker (It came on at 290.0 exactly). That being said, I'm still probably only getting 21mpg. Which is actually pretty good for an FC that's driven like I do.
Yup yup, other than that, I'm just god freakin' exhausted!
I vote for card number three.
Crit, you don't live nearly as far as I thought you did.
Ray, PM me when you talk to your neighbor! I wouldn't mind silver, honestly, if it were close to Arctic Silver...but I'd prefer Mariner Blue. I'd be buying the paint anyways!
Holly, it was nice meeting you! Don't feel bad about showing up in a Mazda 3. It's still a Mazda with a proper gearbox, aye?
To everyone else: See you next month!

Well what a trip. I left at 2pm and got home at 2am even though I got pulled over (82 in a 55) just south of the 575 on 75. He gave me the professional let this one slide.
Then in Chattanooga I broke a belt (12k miles on it) so driving up and down Mt Eagle was fun with no power steering. Lesson learned there was to carry extra belts, even if used. But old trusty NA never gave me any thoughts of not getting home. Gotta love em!
It was good to see 4 people I knew already and to meet some I did not.
Good Night everyone.
