After Chris, Allen (Alan?), Geoffry, and I rode up through Suches and all I think that would be a great place to have a run through. Regardless of the place, I'd love to go again with you guys.

Yeah Suches was amazing, I'd be happy to run there again. If we go with it I'm telling Geoffry again. I think he's enjoying the rotary crowd.

Oh and thanks for the advice Crit, I got the pads in, changed the oil, put in new spark plugs, new plug wires, and I'm ready to roll.

Drift event pics up. We all know Ray can do this in his sleep so he won't be impressed.

WARNING non-old school piston content, rotary viewer discretion is advised.

Hold on to those offset wrenches. They make that brake job SO much easier, and you'll find that you'll use them all the time. They're great.

To be honest Chris, I've never been drift racing myself, but when I do, here's how I'm gonna do it:

I was joking because earlier you said you were the fastest on the strip and the mountain so surely you can drift.

Yep, me too. You think I'm ever serious? Mountains, strip, drift track, Atlanta Motor Speedway, Road Atlanta, you name it, I'm there.

It seems like a trip to Suches is popular. I have been up that way many times, but not in my 7. I can understand why you guys want to go back.

How about Saturday March 21? Who would be interested?

I think some of you guys have map of the route. Please repost it.

FYI guys, there's a complete Teal 12A 85 at the south Pullapart yard, near 285 and 675. I got a few goodies out of it (and forgot a few), but it's complete, minus electronic dizzy. It even has A/C.

Me and the White One are looking for something to do. We were out singing to the moon last night:

I don't know what she'd been drinking, I'd had just a few silver bullets.

Jeez your car is perfect ... One day I hope I'll be able to own one remotely similar to it. Glad it's back up and running. Now ditch the Lotus!

I was hoping you really kept it. Collin or someone mentioned that you had sold it at OGTA, but when I saw those I thought it was just some rumor since you didn't come out Cool!

Did some buttoning up on Sabine today. All that's left to do is firmly attach the fan shroud, plug the wiring harness back into the ECU, bolt the intake box back in, add oil and coolant and that should be it..

I just wanted to drop you guys a line for some optional reading. HERE are the magazine articles that we've hosted at Vintage, including everything but the RX-7. I've got a few magazines, but holy hell, there were hundreds written. I'll scan a few RX-7 ones soon and add them.

Mountain Drive

It looks like we have the following interested in a drive up to Suches on Saturday 3/21:

Bret
Chris
Ray
Mike

Who else is interested?

Bret, do you have map of the route you took?

Do you want to leave from the Cracker Barrel in Winder?

Any suggestions on a place to stop for lunch?

Even though I am the one organizing this drive, don't anyone be angry with me if I have to bail. With my wife's health issues, I have to play this by ear.

It's a 42 mile loop at the end of 400.

Here is a google maps screenshot where I have highlighted the course in orange. Keep in mind, in order to make it visible, the orange band is too wide to show some of the turns.

Here's on I did as well... I mapped out a drive called the 'Snake Run' and posted it on here a while back, and this one covers the route Chris, Alan, Geoffry, and I took in red and then the longer (3 or 4 hours maybe?) Snake Run route in blue.

Turner's Corner has some small places to eat, and then there's a lot in Helen.

You guys could probably take 129 from I-85, then hop on 60 to get up there...
