Ehh... I put that exhaust on today at my uncles garage. It looks great, but it's OBNOXIOUSLY loud. I still need to tighten the header bolts, swap in the gutted cat, and put the resonator in though, so hopefully that will make it a bit quieter. I was coming back home and I stopped at a light, and it just died, I looked over and a cop was right across the street sitting with his windows down, too. So I started it and pulled off when the light changed and didn't go over 2000 RPM's until I was a bit away

I took a video of it before I left to go over there... love the premix and the F'd TPS?

I'll take another of it tomorrow once I've tweaked it a bit. Wish me luck.

I told you to put the gutted cat in there Brett. Here's a direct quote from me:

"Nice exhaust!! If you already own the gutted cat that would be best."

You want to make a good impression in the neighborhood.

Any chance of seeing that buggy on Tuesday? We can help you tune it for you.

Of course it'll be there- If it's still super obnoxious I'll roll with it. FTW

Tomorrow, I'm going to Collin's house to install the cat and some new flange gaskets, since he's got all that up there. And were tightening the header... I'm using my old header gasket since it's pretty new looking, but if the header keeps on ticking I'll buy another new one.

Ok, I'm trying to decide what to do with the clamps on the fuel lines in the FD.

Factory, it was 2 of the spring clamps on each end. With the spring clamps on, I can freely rotate the rubber line on the pulsation damper. Can't pull it off, but it rotates fairly easily. Debating putting a screw clamp and a spring clamp each on each end if that makes sense. I'm paranoid about fuel leaks and I really don't want to go back in there later. Thoughts?

Tim, use a band clamp (screw head on a worm gear). As much as Billy may be shocked to hear me say such a thing, it's pretty clear your stock clamps suck big ***. Speaking of sucking big ***, does anyone have a junk FC that can donate its underhood fuse block? Fusible links on an SE suck big ***, too - there are 5 in total....

Crit just get the fusible link replacements like these at the zone. Thats what I replaced mine with. They're cheap and fit in the existing fusible connectors. Ignore the price that this link shows, I'm pretty sure they were just a few bucks last time I bought some (about 2 weeks ago).

I know about the pop-in replacements, and I have pocketfulls of them from the local yard, but I always liked routing the circuits to the FC fuse block so it matches nice and clean, is labeled under the hood, and doesn't look so wacky. Thanks for the heads-up, though.

By the way, HERE is my thread for parts needed to get the new GSL-SE roadworthy enough for testing.

I think my GXL still has that in the engine bay... you're referring to the one with the little cover over it behind the battery, right? Next time I'm over there I'll check for you.

Hey Brett, that OMP line snapped between your place and mine. Oh well. I used Zach's tubing and a torch to heat and bend the tubing to make a new one - works like new!

Crit I have a bunch of 12A pump to rad and rad to block cooling hoses if these will work. And some OMP lines.

Also I kind of like the original fusable links, really shouts out "Old School"

Sorry Ray, but they won't. I might take you up on the radiator outlet to heater hardline hose if you've got one, but when it comes to the GSL-SE motor, the OMP and all emissions/drivability features are totally different. There's a lot of similarities to S4 (like unused intermediate iron engine mounts!) but very little to 12A.

By the way, does anyone have the heater hardline that runs along the passenger's frame rail and firewall that DOESN'T end in a tee up by the heater for Chris Rowe? All beehive cars have it, but I think the earlier cars and SE's don't.

Hi Romulo,

Welcome to OGTAs. We meet at Jeffrey's Sports Bar & Grill, 105 Horizon Drive, Suwanee, GA 30024, on the 1st Tuesday of each month. Put that address in google maps from wherever you are traveling. The early guys get there some time after 6PM, others usually arrive just before or around 7PM. And even still others will make it a little later.

Will you be arriving in your 12A? See you tomorrow evening.

Chris, bring your camera for the new face. Should be a good turn out.

Holly

Kevin, sorry but I wasn't clear. Chris needs a non-beehive coolant hardline.
