lol....Now I know it's going to be a hassle.

It's not a big deal right now, but I know it needs to get done eventually

Hmmm...are you familiar with this operation?

May need help doing all this....it wouldn't be for a couple months, but just putting some feelers out in the community to see who is all mechanically inclined

I have replaced the whole diff before, about to do it again for a bearing issue. It wasnt that bad, just took some time. I even did it on jack stands. used the jack lower the sub frame and pull the diff out.

I know I can help if someone who knows how to do it is helping me.

Just removing the time of "trying to figure it out" plus a second pair of hands, will make the process quicker and less painful.

Would you consider helping with this project when the time comes? And if so, what compensation do you require?

AGreen 11-21-12 09:19 PM

He'll be coming up to my place one of these days for a diff replacement. If you want, you can come on up too and we'll get you taken care of.

Well I'd have to order the part first and wait till my buddy gets back from Rod Run in Daytona to help me get it going again.

Once I do all of that, then I can try to find time to ride it out somewhere to work on it

MIDNFauciUSN 11-22-12 07:55 AM

are we going to try a meet this weekend??

Sweet...we can work it out...like I said before, it's not something I'll be doing till after the new year.

I'll more than likely have to wait to get a tax return of some sort to put any more money into my car. As of right now all my money has been reinvested into my business.

So once I can order the part, I'll let you know and we can figure out something that works for both of our schedules

MIDNFauciUSN 11-23-12 08:56 AM

good :) I'm about to rip the fuel rails off the car! Banjo bolt gets here today, and FPR gets here on the 28th.

Gotta question guys.. My rx7 has a mild bridgeport sounding cold idle. But when warmed up it idles fine at 750. I havent done a compression check on it or anything to verify, but I was thinking maybe a chipped apex seal? (Im just a beginner rotard so excuse my lack of knowledge).

Does it bonce at idle? then it maybe the TPS being out of adjustment.

raksj04 11-24-12 05:24 PM

I almost became part of a Nissan on the way back from Tampa today. I locked the wheels up in a big smoking glory after I looked up at a highway sign for a few seconds. I am ok, the tires are not so much, feels like a flat spot.

haha, a nazda!

88rotavert 11-24-12 10:27 PM

Not really a huge bounce but some times it bounces like 100rpm but nothing major.

But it will be 850 750 850 750 850 750? right? I would adjusted the TPS. all you need is a mutimeter.

88rotavert 11-25-12 02:55 PM

Yeah it's definitely my tps.. It's jumping and such at idle Nd mostly doesn't want to idle. It also is back firing and shooting some hellish flames.
