Referring to me? I had the only black convertible there, so it must be

That's the whole reason I love going to car shows. The conversation is always welcome.

Junito, how do you keep on ending up with extra downpipes? I bought one from you about 3 years ago

killerspeed56 11-05-12 05:41 PM

hey does anyone have a pair of Fd rx7 wheels for sale?

AGreen 11-05-12 10:17 PM

You know, I went and drooled over the Digicamo Rx7 after I got done talking with you and your friends, but nobody was there so I didn't connect that it was yours. I found that happening a lot actually... it seemed that all the cars I was interested in, all their owners were off elsewhere and I didn't get to meet any of them :(

sant201 11-06-12 09:21 AM

Same here. I took my red first gen out that night and saw a couple of 7's but everyone was out and about.

MIDNFauciUSN 11-06-12 11:04 AM

3rd place... to a VW bug... :/

I had a good time though!

Hi guys. I need your help. Can you tell me where the locals get together with their RX7s? I need to do some networking to find someone to help me with my idling and some other upgrades I want to make. T

Happens VERY sporadically. Are you on facebook? post up your SN and I can let you into a group on there that most of the locals actually check.

canalla:
There's a meet every saturday night by the Sonic on Beach Blvd. There are a ton of cars that show up, and it's at night time, so you can imagine the kind of crowd it attracts :/

I've been tossing the idea around of doing a monthly or bi-weekly meet during the daytime for Rx-7 owners. I was thinking we'd meet on a Saturday or Sunday somewhere around North Jacksonville. I drive 30-40 miles to go to most meets, so I figure north Jax wouldn't be too far for people in the area, especially since it's still in the same city, and it would also be a little less of a drive for me as well.

Since I'm not from that area, I wouldn't be the best candidate for determining the location, but if anyone else has any parking lots in mind, please chime in.

I'd be more than glad to help with diagnosing problems though. It's much easier in person than struggling with it over the internet.

well there is the monthly "cars and coffee" event at wild wing cafe off of southside blvd. in front of tinseltown movie theater. It usually runs from 9am-noon.

AGreen 11-06-12 02:13 PM

Yeah... that one's ok. I'm talking about an Rx7 owner exclusive meet. Call me crazy, but some of the guys with the higher end vehicles (bought, not built) are a little, shall I say, slightly arrogant.

North Jax could be cool... around where that best buy is... 295/95 I think?

I'd rather do that than hit up sonic.... though I know I'd probably end up going to both :)

AGreen 11-06-12 03:51 PM

The only issue I see with that is that most of the shops there at the River City Marketplace are pretty busy on the weekends, so I doubt anyone would want a car club hanging around their parking lots. Come to think of it, there are a few banks in that area that don't open on Sunday, maybe one of those? I'm heading down that way tonight; maybe I'll scope it out :)

AGreen 11-06-12 06:46 PM

I think I scouted out a couple good locations.

1) There's an abandoned Wendy's next to the Millhouse. It's off exit 363 on I-95, turn as if you're heading towards the airport. This one's good because we won't be in the way of customers, so we really can't get griped at for existing.

2) The Vy-Star bank off main street (Hwy 17), next to AutoZone. It's kind of in a good location, because there's a Mexican restaurant right next door, and there are parts stores within walking distance. I love Mexican food, and let's just go ahead and face it, we're going to need the parts stores. Unfortunately, I think they're open on Saturdays, so this one would have to be on Sunday.

Do I have any takers for the abandoned Wendy's, Saturday morning around 9 or 10?

Agree... but it'll come back. Sadly, this isn't the first time it has happened... eventually the cops quit coming out, and people are cool again... then it turns to shit. Seems to be about every 18 months.

raksj04 11-06-12 09:57 PM

just watched Initial D stage 5. ep 1. it was awesome.

AGreen 11-07-12 11:01 AM

Everyone:
Let me know now if you want to go on Saturday, that way I won't look like a jackass sitting in the parking lot by myself :)

raksj04 11-07-12 01:33 PM

I will go, But I have duty, so I will let you know friday.

MIDNFauciUSN 11-07-12 10:10 PM

canalla 11-07-12 10:30 PM

raksj04 11-08-12 09:19 AM

If you make it like a cars and lunch I will be there. I have to work for a bit in the morning. So closer to noon would be better. plus like MID said there is cars and coffee that morning.
