hey does anybody know the identiyy of the 2 fd's and audi S4 i was playing with on the I-75

it was a black one with a stock kit, a Blue FD with an aftermarket kit, i think knightsports but i didnt see it clearly enough and a red s4 with the reiger kit

there was also a trailered gunmetal fd behind some black SUV

I was in the silver tiburon

incase u were wondering i hit a truck tire on the way down to nopi nats and destroyed my front bumper and the rear one basically exploded on the hiway.. and bent my front mount

when i was racing u guys i blew off my alternator belt.... oh well

thanx for the nod, nice to see some people can appreciate a fast tib, i really didnt think i was gonna hang with u guys as well as the car did

haha, holy crap, that was you huh?

I was trailering the silver FD behind my truck, both were in the show. Couple of the local guys were rolling with/near me which is who you were playing with. I saw you pull over real quick, figured you must have overheated or something.

So uh, you always roll cross country back and forth to car shows with no rear bumper? or is it so fast that it ripped it right off? That's what I wondering as you kept slowing down and speeding up around me. Sucks that you hit a tire. I had bad luck as well...satellite tv in the truck went out just before I left for atlanta, I had to change the fuel pump 3 times to get to atlanta, and then I had a flat 24 while at teh show due to a screw, and had to limp to a station for air then go to walmart for a plug.

Anyway, I hear you ran with them relatively well, good to hear everything was alright in the end.

Wow, and I thought our FD's were the only cars plagued with problems.

Must be one hell of a tiburon to run with that black fd. The black fd is a 60-1 hifi setup running around 14-15lbs self tuned by the owner. How well did you stay with these guys. If it was close I will make sure to stay the hell away from Tiburons.

yep it was those two

yea i hit a tire on i-75 just outside of lexington KY on the way down to the show coming from buffalo

it broke the front bumper in half and the rear exploded into like 5-10 pieces and got strewn about the hiway, this was @ 2am....

this is what the car looked like before i hit that tire

here is the mod list
Custom one off equal length turbo Manifold
Turbonetics t3/t4 50 trim
30X8X2.75 FMIC
3" Exhaust
Haltech E6x
Quaife ATB LSD
Tial BOV
Wiseco 8.7:1 Forged Pistons
Pauter Forged Rods
AEM Uego Wideband

i was only running 17'psi which is about 300-320 WHP depending on the ambient air temp... i was surprised that i was holding with those cars.....

ive been a HUGE fd guy forever, and have been on this forum for YEARS, ive owned a couple of them but am stuck with this czr because i like the hyundai community alot, but when i move to FLA next spring ill grab an FD for a project car

The fb you saw i believe was mine. I didn't see another there this year so that's why I think that. Besides, not to be biased, but I do have the most beautiful fb I've ever seen. I will be posting new pics to my web page soon. Also, Erebuni contacted me today and want my car on their website.

I generally dont give the FBs or FCs a second look but occasionally I see one that really turns my head. Your car is beautiful and definately well done. I was glad to see a large turnout of rx7s this year

There was a big thread in the lounge yesterday but it was mostly hondas and that damned v8 FD

I think it's sacrilege that a non-rotary powered FD can win in an rx-7 class. Guess the judges are poorly educated. Not hating on the car, I think it is pretty great...but I still have to question that aspect of it. IF things keep going the way they are, nopi will need to add an "asian sport coupe rx-7 93-95 engine swapped" class.

Maybe the rotary boys need to step up the game I think next year you should have a 4 rotor and 22"s on the 7

Here are a few more pics from Nopi Pages 6-9

Most of the rx7s that were there should be on page 8. I couldnt get all of them because of my buddies wanting to go check out the other cars.
