Had a good time today got to meet Herblenny and PureMdma , and the guys from Speedforsale.com ... saw a few nice FDs , not as many as I would have thought though ... lots of FCs , and a few really nice FBs (Gsl-Se) ... Drift practice was cool as hell !!!!! ... went to Six Flags with my girl and proceeded to get the $hit scared out of me , but good times ... hope to see you guys again in October ...

the black fb on row l is the nicest example of first gen that i have seen in quite a while... rotarywall and i rode in a little late today in his black s5 vert, and was pleased to see that we still had room to park w/ you guys... glad we registered w/ speed for sale!!! is it me or was the croud sort of lite this year?
after our group left to go eat this afternoon, i went by the varsity to see if anyone was gathering (this was an idea posted in another forum).. of corse there was a tech. game going on and they hogged up all the parking.. so we headed back up 85 to the local hang out spot called the bp... there were a bunch of folks there, but there was also a bunch of police as well.. we hung out just long enough to see some ricer hot foot it across the lot and t bone another car, and figured that it was time to go!!! i sure have missed the "A"!!! savannah just doesn't have much of a car scene to offer and it really sucks!!!

Phew! What a weekend!! I have to say, this year's NOPI was one of the best one I've been to (my 2nd year!).
First, I would like to Thank David, Jeremy, and Cory for their hard work getting us together and providing us with food and drinks on saturday. It was one of the best burgers and dogs (hot dogs) I've had had in a long time (slight bias since I was extremely hungry).
Second, it was nice meeting some of you rotorheads, supra owners, nissan owners, couple of domestics, and honda owners. Overall I had a great time chatting about cars, making fun of ricers and cops, and seeing some girls in crazy, half naked, outfits.
And finally, Hope some of you will make it to Speed for Sales event in Oct.
Now that events going to be fun and exciting!!

Just returned from the show, had a really great time. Big ups to all the guys(and gals) from Speed for Sale. They were very hospitable and will more than likely continue showing with them. The show was great, but I agree, I figured there would be more fd's than their was. I think their were more fc's than before. I had two with me and my fb. This was the first trip for the red fc with the black hood and wheels. He just recently got the car and got it running and hadn't had the opportunity to really road test it. Other than having a alt belt problem, everything went fine. And this was my first trip on the new microtech I installed. Hadn't had a good opportunity to tune it right but I did do some tuning on the trip down and it runs alot better. Killed a 06 Mustang 350GT saturday when leaving the track. That was fun. He got me on take off, then by 3rd gear pulled by him hard. I know him so I told him he's buying dinner, so he did. Hope to see you all next year and if I get a chance I'll be at the event in October.

Heard you guys stopped at Advanced Auto in Manchester, TN on the way down. Can't believed I missed you guys. I was five minutes down the road when you guys were there. I was up there about an 1 1/2 hours after you guys were there and John at Advanced said you guys stopped by there. He was absolutley stoked about your cars. Wish I could have seen your cars on the way down, but oh well.

First off I want to say "THANK YOU" to everyone who came out and joined our SpeedForSale.com group at this year's NOPI Nationals! It was great to see everyone and hang out for the weekend. My voice is very scratchy today from talking so much, which hasn't happened in years (I talk a lot heh!) A special thanks to Chinchi for helping us find more tents when our area was destroyed by the big storm on Friday! Things were so busy in our area I did not leave our area once during the event, so other people's pictures are all I'll have to know what was at the event...please post up the pictures you have!
As noted earlier, our ENTIRE GROUP AREA with 30'x20' of tents was completely destroyed on Friday during the massive storm that came through. We got to the event at 10:30am on Friday morning to set up, which took 3.5 hours. Our area looked great and was a good bit larger than what you see in the pictures above...but after the torrential downpour and high winds, I got a call from Mark Meyers saying we should come back out to assess the damage. Even though our tents were staked down, they had been twisted like pretzels and wadded up in a ball up against the fence:
The flood waters were over 2 feet deep at some parts of the track. Notice in this picture of the 'Elite Show' area right behind us how the water is up to the top of the trashcan, and there is a whirlpool beside it where the drain is:
It was very disheartening to come back to the Speedway Friday evening and see that mess. Only one of our 12'x12' tents that we had set up the start of our group area (the white tent with our banner in the picture above) remained. We went to a couple places looking for pop-up tents, and they were sold out. I called Chinchi, who hadn't left for the hotel yet. He let me know of a couple stores on the way down, and I called them up. He went to 2 or 3 places and bought all the tents they had left...only 4 total. So, we had much less tent space than we originally had...next year we'll (at least) DOUBLE our tent area, as we are expecting well over 100 cars in our group. We also grilled out 100 hamburgers and tons of hotdogs, chips, colas & water on Saturday and ran out, so we'll have tons more next year to ensure we can feed every one on Sunday as well!
Our next event is the '2007 SpeedForSale.com Shootout' for Supra, RX7, 300ZX, and Skylines (spectators welcome) on October 19-20 at Talladega road course and Steele 1/4 drag strip (mobile dyno and car show in parking lot) with cash payouts...info here:

Great news, I finished first in rx7 street class. Here is the kicker though, I didnt even bring one of my rx7s. It was actually a Supra a friend of mine brought in. That tells you how well hte judging is.

Same thing happened to me last year. I entered my FD, it got wrecked, so I rode my bike down. Somehow my FD got 2nd in street.

What class were you in? I saw a stock 1st gen in the 3rd gen class. Looked like someone, either the entrant or the nopi staff typed 1993 instead of 1983. Although I think the car was a 5 letter.
