Moving to Atlanta - Concerned about car theft
I'm moving to Atlanta in the next coming months. I have over 100k in my rx7 and am concerned about the high number of cars stolen in the Atlanta area.
Besides lojack and a car alarm, what else do you recommend?

Move to Kennesaw. It's a suburb just north of Atlanta. Crime rate is one of the lowest in the country. Partly because there's a law on the books that mandates every head of household to maintain a firearm together with ammunition. No one has ever been sited for NOT having a firearm, but it sure deters criminals.

atlanta is the worst city for car theft!!! omg its the worst! i had my type r stolen, i walked into a bar to pick someone up and came outside not 5 mins later in not 6 minutes max, integra type r was gone! they towed it im guessing...my advice to you is to get something called alphalock (get two of em, one for front left tire and one for rear right tire!) or something called pitbull tire lock. even if they tow the car, it will still make it hard as hell to do! oh ya and get wheel locks so they cant just take the wheel off with the lock.

I'm a college student so I've parked on the GaTech campus and around the ATL area (bars, food, etc.). I guess it all depends on which area you're in. Best thing to do would be to ask some ATL locals which areas are sketchy/the hood, because it can change as quick as a block or two.
I know some people pull the fuel pump relay... But that isn't going to stop a tow truck.

I hate to break the news to you - but if someone wants to steal a car - they will steal it. "The Club" is a joke - it takes under two minutes to get it off your car. Alarm systems - very few will even notice they are going off - and the ones that do are sick of it. (In NY one night, a "new" type of alarm went off (1991) it said, "Stop, thief, I'm being stolen, call the police." And it said it over and over and over.
Best tip so far - garage it. Out of sight, out of mind. Do you know there are people that go around writing down which cars in which driveways and what parts they have. So when a "customer" comes to them, they know how to get the parts?
Better advice, drive an old beat up car around the city, one that isn't on anybody's wish list for parts. Keep the good car for your personal enjoyment. Just MHO -- coming out of New York City - where crime never sleeps.
Addition: LoJack is a wonderful tip. It works! Just in case something does go wrong...
P.S. Good luck with the move. I think once you are into living in Atlanta, you'll see, it' a nice place to live.

battery cut off switch, lo jack , removable steering wheel , gun , gun , and one more gun make sure that one is not legal and the numbers are grinded down
oh thats for the dead thief , so when the cops show up you tell them he pulled a gun on you, remember dead man does not tell tales
