I can get there by 8am, that's fine. Ray...if you find a new scratch on your car, then it definitely wouldn't have been me who did it. I mean...you only just insulted me. :-P

I'm STILL waiting on my suspension and I'm STILL waiting on my RX-8 shift ****. I'm getting pretty pissed, because I was hoping to have both installed by the meet. Guess it was a pipe dream..

Road Atlanta FTW! Maybe some time we should all try and get them to give us a real deal on a track day for the club...I'm sure no one would get competitive......

I'll be there for Breakfast, assuming it's at 8am. I'm thinking bacon...bacon...scrambled eggs with cheese and some yummy toast. No grits though.

Brett, you're coming. End of discussion. Your aunt can loan you gas money.

the Country fried steak and hashbrown casserole is the freakin BOMB at Cracker Barrell.

I got my car running, although i am still not 100% sure if i should go or not. My tires arent in great shape...but its not gonna rain...also my suspension is shot...but are we going to be running fast at all?

Your suspension's shot as well, eh? Today when I fixed my leaky CV Joints, I discovered that my car has old-school tokico shocks that are blown to hell. I always thought they were stock, but oh well.

And expect me to meet ya'll at Cracker Barrel this Saturday too . I'll have to work my butt off on Sunday to make up for the gas money, but I guess it's worth it. Anything special I should bring? And I think I'll leave my house around 7:20 and get there around 8:15. Yepp...

Talking All Systems Are Go

It looks like tomorrow will be a great day for a ride in the mountains. We should have some guys from NC and GA. Meet at Gorges State Park around noon. Use the the Frozen Creek Rd. entrance.

Maybe a couple of those sorry Charlotte guys will show up (Stu, Tim, etc.).

The crew from ATL is planning to leave from the Cracker Barrel at the I85 - Hwy 53 interchange around 9:00 (yes this is in the morning). I'll be there about 8:00 for breakfast. Anyone interested in joining me, I'll see you then.

Sounds good to me. We can also take up a collection for Brett's gas money.

Where exactly will we meet up in the park? I'm thinking I may be able to make it after all. Sounds like noon oclock at the park so far. Looking at the map it looks like theres just one area right at the entrance off Frozen Creek.

Bring my lunch? Bring my lunch?! What is this, kindergarden?! That confuses me on what I should bring, 'cuz I doubt there are too many places to stop on our journey.

I'll be there at 8am.

From looking at the park map it looks like there is a picnic area and pavilion just off the entrance road. Who ever gets ther first, stake a claim to the most convenient picnic area that will accomodate 10-15 people.

Ok, I'm coming to this to represent Charlotte. Anyone else coming from Charlotte or points east or north of me that want to meet up and caravan over?

Do we just bring our own lunch or this a pot luck where we share our food?

Never mind, I reread the thread and answered my own questions.

I'm coming from Charlotte and taking this route. Anybody local see a problem with it?

From Charlotte, reach the park by traveling on west on NC 74 to I-26. Turn west on I-26, traveling toward Hendersonville. Take exit 18 to NC 64 and travel west through Brevard toward Sapphire. To reach the Frozen Creek Access (east side of the park), turn left onto Frozen Creek Road, which is approximately two miles past NC 178. The east entrance is three miles on the right.

that exit 18 is now exit 49 and taking 64 that way, just keep your eye on the road signs, it can get a little tricky to follow 64 though Hendersonville...mainly a part where you go straight though a light, curve left and then at the stop sign/light (forget which it is) you turn right to stay on 64

i would recommend you go to exit 40 (Airport Road - Asheville Regional airport) US 280 and pass in front of the airport and head that way out to Brevard...

or PM me and i'll give you my # then i'll meet up with you and we can ride out together, i just need to stop in brevard and pickup a friend...

Brett is with me at my house, so we'll both be at Cracker Barrel around 8am.

So does anyone know if there's a grill or something at this pavilion thing we'll be hanging out under? A lot of parks in Florida have them...

Other than that, I dunno what I'll be bringing for lunch.

Thanks Ray, but it's no big deal. I make 12 bucks an hour working for this guy doing everything he's gotten to old to do, so 4 or 5 hours work will re-plentish my wallet just fine . But that's really nice of you though.

And oh yeah-

Brett isn't going to read this, so...

there may be a large leather boot tied to the ***-end of his car, dragging. We were at the car wash last night and he found it and got all giddy... lmao

We're about to leave, sooooo...whoever is reading this knows.

Yeah, like Collin said, today was great. Even though I've only got $2 left in my wallet, it was totally worth it . Meeting Zach was cool too. I loved those vert wheels on his FC. That FD was nice as well. Great little get together! And thanks for that burger Zach

Notice the boinger with its hood up. It was overheating, not a problem with the rotaries.
