OH, DAmmit all to h____

well crap.
No double crap.
(reposted cause I can't edit my last post)
I'm am so pissed right now.
Stoked to go to moroso.

And this.
Cant's shift my damn car into any damn gear.
OH did I mention I was pissed?
LOL

Well, I am trying to diagnose the problem, reading old posts and inside/outside trying to figure it out.
I'm thinking it's pilot bearing, inout shaft bearing, pressure plate, or any number of other similar problems

I just finishing diagnosing the Hydraulics are not to blame(pretty sure anyways)

Anyways, I'm hoping, since I got 9 days till , that I can get my car back running(well shifting!) before then............

hopefully I can get & afford the right parts........

A good way to get out to Moroso is to take the PGA west exit off 95. Follow PGA down untill it intersects the Bee Line and turn North, and then Moroso is on the left (its been awhile, but that's what I recall).

So, down PGA west, just past the TurnPike there is a Publix. Publix @ Mirasol
They have a big enough lot for us to meet up at on Friday at 5:30.

Any better suggestions?? Post em up!

yeah PGA to Bee Line is right...Moroso is on the right side of the road though.

publix sounds like a good meet spot

EL5Letra said that he is also going to try to get Friday off to leave early. In my opinion leaving at 3 p.m. is good to get through light traffic and be ready when tech opens at
5 p.m. It is not good to be wasting time waiting in line to tech at 6-7 pm when people are already running and there is a longer line. In any case, as long as at least a couple of us go I will be there trying to run 12.39 @ 115.0

Alright Outkast...
Good idea on the tech. We should be pulling into Moroso at 5:30, and be meeting at 5. Let us know what the tech's check. Is it just like an Autox (batt. tie down, good tires, seatbelt)?
If so, I need a stock battery box....anybody have one for me?

As far as the tech, it depends who you get, and what event. In general, stock cars pass with no problem, and the more modified, the more they look. Anything in the 13s needs a helmet. With a helmet you can run as fast as 12.0. If your battery is anywhere other than the stock location, you need a battery box AND a cutoff swith (that works and is accesible from outside the car). You may run any battery in the stock location. They look at tires, seat belts, helmet, driver's license, and obvious stuff. They ask if you're stock turbo, and if you have spray. There may be different rules for two power adders, but we usually don't need or use bottle. You have to have all your lugnuts (duh) and nothing loose in or outside the cars, and stuff like that. Some techs are cool, some are ********, if you have everything straightened out you will pass in 2 minutes no prob. I like to go early, the line gets longer as more and more people arrive.

That's the one thing they care a lot about, either put it in the front, or get a box and switch. I got sent home to Miami one day on drag radials, 500 miles of waste with 1600 cc injectors. I though about installing a fake one in the front and hiding the real one, but nah I just did it right so I can run any time.

yeah, and in my very limited experience, the longer the lines are, the more the techs get frustrated and are more likely to be ********.

Anyways, good luck to all of you, I might be able to come hang and watch. If anyone has a video cam, I'd be happy to tape all ya from the sidelines(providing I get my car back by then).
Turns out my clutch decided to take a crap. I am getting the new one put in tomorrow or wednesday, hopefully have the car back on the road by thursday, but will breaking in the clutch, so no racing for me!

Anyways, If I get the car back, I'd come just to hang and watch ya all go down the 1/4.

Sorry i've been out lately i haven't check the thread. So were is this publix that we are meeting? I usually take blue heron all the way down to Moroso since that exit is closer to me. I have my battery in the back of my passenger seat. would they consider that as box? Last tiem I checked there the teach didn't even pop my hood. Just look at my registration from and wrote my number down. I got my wideband yesterday and tryied to install it today and guesse what another DOA. What are the chances that can possibly happen? I'll call the manufacturer and yell at them for that **** the 2nd time. Needless to say I still haven't got the car tuned. I'll just run the car at 8 to 10 psi and hope for the best.

You should get a worst time of low 13 I'm guessing...that's respectable. Good luck with the battery in the compartment. It's not considered a box and is exactly what I got sent home for, but if you are fortunate, they won't check as you said. My suggestion is try to play stupid and say that's the stock location, or hope they won't notice. Better yet, fix it. Don't forget, they will be preparing for the NOPI event, and may be a little stricter than usual. Personally, I wouldn't take a chance. It would be nice if you get to run. It's tons of fun. See you there.

Von : Take 95 North from your house, and you will see a PGA exit about 1-2 exits past Blue Heron. Exit West. Publix is on the right, just past the Turnpike ramp.

Is it affirmative that they will have non-leaded at the track? Because the Sunoco @ Gatlin Blvd. is a real hike...

They have both unleaded and leaded (3 or 4 kinds) Sunoco at the track, as well as a regular Shell station 2 minutes from it. The highest octane is the expensive 112 leaded, although some say that it isn't a good idea to get gas from there after it has rained a lot. But many people do, and there aren't many other options unless you fill up before, or bring your own gas.

Raj if your not doing anything thursday lets go to streets finest. i need to bring out this new kid there with his RX7. I got the freakin wideband to work. i just need to rewire it nicely under the dash and get it tuned. Maybe on Thursaday afternoon. There are having a car show with bikini contest and free food on OCT 30th I'll put up another thread on that. make sure you mark it on your calendar. I guesse we can make that the OCT. meet.

It's confirmed, I got Friday off and working Saturday instead. I am definitely going. I would take 2 cars if any of our other ones ran worth a crap right now. There is a 25% chance that a lightly modded RX8 from school will tag along. My wife Martha will be there to videotape. It would be nice to have a few people but I will go no matter what.
