Mitty - who plans to attend? Sat/Sun?
I plan to attend Saturday and Sunday for sure and was considered part of Friday. I plan to at least run 2 touring sessions to break in the new BFG tires for upcoming PDX. Any other takers?? Where should we meet and when?? Let's get the 7's out there and participate in sports cars of the world event@@

I'll be there. I haven't thought about the touring sessions, but remember that last year most of it was run behind F150s, Exlorers, and I think I saw one Chevette. You might not be doing anything with your BFGs.
I'm not sure if I'll make a full weekend out of it. Which is the better day, between Saturday and Sunday?

We should be there Friday evening thru Sunday. Camping if allowed We will be bringing the FB AND Elizabeth's FC. Probably only do the touring laps so we can keep our Mitty Wall photos of the cars on track updated.

I will be racing my #79 blue 1979 RX-7 again in the IMSA GTU class. This will be my 13th appearance at the Mitty. If you can find me in the paddock, stop by and introduce yourself. White Pace trailer with Silver canopy.
The full weekend schedule can be seen here:

In gneneral, if you can only make one day, then Saturday is the best day to make a vintage race weekend. For these really big events where we show up on Wednesday, we are ready to head home asap on Sunday. My race will be over by 10am on Sunday; I will probably be gone after the 75 car Miata meelee Sunday.
Also, the Playboy Bunnies will be out for show on Saturday

Billy, I need to come look at the truck while I am down there To get a good idea of what lays ahead. My appointment at the paint booth this weekend fell thru and now I have Elizabeth's car sitting ready to be painted but waiting on my buddy to stop flaking out and let me use the booth I will hopefully have a sample piece to show you when we arrive.

Changed the color back to my original thought. We can talk about it Sat.

Mitty 09 = touring laps
I hear you on the touring laps quite a bit slower than it could be if they limited it to sports cars/coupes only. Likewise I want another Mitty wall hanging for 07 thru 09. At the least I can scuff the tires up a little on the track and not get arrested!!!! I plan to take my vert wheels to a powder coater for possible clear coat stripping and if it does not look good than I will powder coat them black to match the ole girl. Playboy bunnies sounds exciting and I look forward to stopping by to meet the owner of that fine 79 RX7. 13 years is impressive and I will be watching you lead the field!! Regards,.......... Mitty Tickets
The ticket prices were posted, but they now took them off the web. I guess it is because it is too close to the event now for online ticket prices.
I believe that a one day ticket will be in the order of $25 to $30 (but once you get in, how will they know if you camp out and stay for 2 days ?

Mike, early would be around 9AM and definitely before 10AM. It gets filled up quickly. Sometimes it is not easy to find out where to sign up for laps either. But the best suggestion is to find the Classic Motorsports tent in the vendor row area and ask them, as soon as you arrive.

No MITTY for us in 09' Elizabeth's FC broke its transmission on Tuesday. I scrambled back from work and got it towed home, tore down parts located, and rebuilt and running again on Weds. However I had to miss 2 days of work and they were pissed that I was going to be off on Sat as well. So I had to give up the weekend off We "may" shoot down Sunday just for the day but not very likely in reality. Sorry we will miss this years event, Have fun and we'll see you all at Zoom-fest or sooner. I guess it is better it happened up here on the road rather than there on track..

Normally Holly has already posted telling us where to be and when.
Maybe say 7:45 at the parking lot next to McDonalds/Gas station? Some fast food joint. I can't remember what it is but I do remember it does not open till late - open parking lot in the morning.
Heck, I am not even sure that is the best time.
Holly you out there???
