For that reason, I thought it might be a good idea to go ahead and repost the directions.

Okay, here's the directions to Big Daddys:

From Charleston, Columbia, Greenwood - Take I-26 West to exit 15 (Hwy 176); at the top of the exit, bear to the right; you will go about 3 miles to the first light. At the first light, you will see a Burger King on the right, Big Daddy's is next to it. There are two entrances and either will work.

From Charlotte, Gastonia, Shelby, Gaffney - Take I-85 South to The I-26 exit 70 and stay in the right lane; You are heading towards Asheville on I-26 W. Take exit 15 (Hwy 176); at the top of the exit, bear to the right; go about 3 miles to the first light. At the first light, you will see a Burger King on the right, Big Daddy's is next to it. There are two entrances and either will work.

From Greenville, Anderson, Clemson - Take I-85 North to exit 70. This is the I-26 exit and head towards Asheville (I-26 W). Take exit 15 (Hwy 176); at the top of the exit, bear to the right; go about 3 miles to the first light. At the first light, you will see a Burger King on the right, Big Daddy's is next to it.

From Greer - Take US 29 towards Spartanburg. At the second light in Lyman (Hwy129) , you will turn left. (There is a Burger King on this corner) At the next light, you will take another left (Hwy 292) (There is a Pizza Hut on the left). Follow Hwy 292 to the third light (it will be about 8 miles) and turn right onto Hwy 176. (You will see a McDonalds on your right and a Hardees on your left) Just before you reach the third light after you turn, you will see Big Daddy's on your left.

Anyone else I have left off, I apologize. Its not intentional. Just ask us and we'll get you here. Thanks again for coming! The weather right now is supposed to be mostly sunny with a high of 86.

Directions to the Gaffney pre-meet:

I - 85 Southbound: Take Exit 92. When you get to the top of the ramp, there will be a traffic light. Turn to the right and immediately, get in the left hand turn only lane. You will come to a traffic light, so obviously, you will be turning left. At the top of the hill is a 4-way stop sign. You will be facing the Texaco station!

I - 85 Northbound: Take Exit 92. When you get to the top of the ramp, there will be a traffic light. Turn to the left. Go straight through the next light. Now, get in the left hand turn only lane, so that you can turn left at the next traffic light. At the top of the hill is a 4-way stop sign. You will be facing the Texaco station!

Ok I need some clearification please.

If I can get to the Pre-Meet do I still go I-85 South and get off at exit 92 or do I still follow these directions.

If you are planning on coming to the pre-meet to join the caravan, then you need to get off at exit 92 (the pre-meet is farther north than where we are actually meeting). Otherwise, stay on I - 85 southbound until you get to exit 70.

Just an update. My wife and I plan on being there at 1100. Not sure about my friend with the 8. He is on call so could run into problems.

ImprezedRS 08-26-05 07:40 PM

Still working on it, i had to work today from 12 to 8 and just got back from autozone with some gear oil for the trans, basically whats left is drop the motor trans in and bolt up the intake manifold and turbo and then all the little nick nacks i had to remove, i will be driving the car around for a little bit to make sure everthing is running good, i still pretty positive i will be there.

FB II 08-27-05 01:18 AM

:( On my way down to the pre-meet I was traveling along I-85 South towards Charlotte near Thomasville and my headlamp litteraly peeled itself off of the car cracked my wind shield and flew into the highway and hit a truck behind me.:crzyeye: I was pulled for not securing loose equipment and I have to goto court for it. I have been looking for it since. Can my day get any worse? Sorry about missing the meet I was on my way until this happend. Now I have her tucked in the garage and back to driving my trusty 'ol FC. I have some pics of the damage.:( I hate I missed it but I am not going to show up with a cracked windshield and a headlamp missing. :(

How did the meet go for the rest of you guys?

sleeperfc 08-27-05 09:30 PM

the food at that slop house sucked and make us sick. The server lady kept putting her fupa on my arm... i cut it off.

you guys kept driving when we stopped for gas... they had 95 octane gas for 2.43 a gal. you gould pay pash at the pump... like a soda machine or someting. why cant it be like that in charlotte? that horse and buggy two stop light town has technology like that and we cant? soo sad.

i was going to be mean to them but they cant help it they are retarted.

oops did i say that out loud.

rotarycrazy 08-27-05 10:18 PM

Well, to be honest with you, we waited for you up the road for about 20 minutes and never saw you. If you had told us you needed/wanted to stop for gas, even if we are "retarded", we are polite and would have stopped. We are sorry to don't like our slower, more personable ways. If you don't like it in the country, stay in the city with the rest of the a$$holes.

sleeperfc 08-27-05 11:26 PM

i was talking about the nice ladys at the big als place... but maybe i should stay out of the country. geez where is my pepto.

ImprezedRS 08-28-05 12:11 AM

haha funny story, well i missed it cause i was asleep but i did finish getting my motor in and then procedded to blow up that one, see '85GSL-SE you weren't the only one to have a bad day.

For your viewing pleasure my ticket for not securing loose equipment.

Rusty Shackleford 08-28-05 09:36 AM

hey that sucks about the ticket one of the charleston guys has lost about 3 sets of head light covers if im not mistaken but never causing damage or getting tickets though how would you know its loose i mean its a factory thing?

Skylance 08-28-05 12:07 PM

RotaryCrazy, Where are the pictars? I must see my flamage!

'85GSL-SE 08-28-05 02:28 PM

Thats what I tried to tell the Trooper but he was just wanting to give me a ticket. What was even more funny is they coudn't get a normal Crown Vic on me it had to be a Camaro. LOL I just laughed at that.

rotarycrazy 08-28-05 03:54 PM

I feel sorry about your ticket. Skylance the pictures are on theyr way home now my wife just picked them up from the store.

dregg100 08-28-05 07:07 PM

me want pictures. by the way did you guys race any rice in the parking lot after i left?

Skylance 08-28-05 07:21 PM

I would definately fight the ticket. Especially if it will go against your insurance. It's not like you installed the Super-Hyper-Giga-headlight-heat-seeking-grenade mod. I'm sure the judge would rule in your favor if you payed to fix the truck. In fact, I would show up with an estimate to fix the truck, and have that amount in CASH when you walk into the courtroom. Be sure to plead not guilty, due to not being aware that there was loose equipment on your vehicle and that you would have secured it had you been aware of the status of the headlight. Then go on to Say, "Your Honor, I am willing to pay to fix the truck that was damaged in this incident, but I simply can't afford the long term ramifications of points against my license and my higher insurance costs. I have here an estimate to fix the truck and the amount in cash. I am willing to hand this over to the claimant immediately. I have no problem in correcting the damage caused by my property. I simply can't afford the long term costs that are unnecessary."

Showing that kind of maturity and willingness to take responsibility will certainly earn you some points. The judge will most likely drop the charges, or have the ticket reduced to a minimal level. Good luck!
