Hey, I went back to the old video of the last meet. I didnt know youtube finally went high quality. There was this way back in their beta days a year back of them testing the HD (so to speak) and you input around 8 characters after the link to show it.

Underneath the Views counter, just click on the view in higher quality. It would work on some videos since Youtube compresses it when you upload them. Check it out.

Went to Pull-A-Part today. Scored some good finds. I picked up a dash duct for my daddy-in-law's truck. I also scored two Taurus e-fans, a second gen leading coil, and the strut tower covers. Stu let me have his half-bridge plates and another rotor and housing. I am hopefully going to put this thing together soon. Hey Zack. What could get me a soft seal kit, 3rd gen corner springs and oil control rings for? I would love to get this thing running soon!

make sure that other rotor is within the same weight spec. they are lettered on the gear side.

if your just looking to seperate it like that by just getting soft seals, corner springs, and oil control rings then you'll actually save more by going thru atkins. i only get the complete setups and directly from mazda so i couldn't even tell ya what individual pieces would cost. i don't really get a discount that way so can't save ya any monies

This is your monthly meet reminder The meet is in less than 2 weeks on the 8th.

Kind of snuck up on me that it was this soon so I figured an announcement was in order.

I figured a lot of folks would overlook it because it comes up so soon especially after the last one.

Yeah I'm going to the OGTA lake meet. Maybe we can get some others to go as well. Its still ~3 hrs to the lake, so we would need to leave in the morning to make it by noon.

Should we start a new thread for it?

I am not sure, I know it is about a 3ish hour drive, and we need to be there around 12. I say if we are on the road and on the way by 9:30/9:45 we should be golden.

I am all up for a caravan like last time!

Checked with my guy at mazda, here are the prices I can get:

30.00 for corner seal springs
100.00 for complete 12a gasket set, including housing o-rings
296.00 for metal oil control rings and springs ( I believe I pointed the right parts out, fuzzy diagram)

Looks like atkins has a better deal so far

Not bad. It's west of here. I took 77 to 40, then I go to asheville. It is closer than that, just outside morganton IIRC

Dave, last time we met up at exit 25 in the BoJangles parking lot and headed out from there. I think we want to be on the road no later than 9 a.m. to get there by noonish. Its definitely a 2.5 to 3 hour trip depending the speed we go. Last time we cruised around 80 mph but not sure what the popo situation is like down that way in May. Maybe we can get a turbo 1st gen to go as well

Where to meet, O'Charleys @ 1 p.m. 2nd Sunday each month.

If you look at T.G. Farrel(Tim"s) signature. He has a link to directions to ocharley's.

hope to see you there next meet on the 8th. Where are you located in NC?

Just pick a place around the I77/I85 interchange or off of 85 where we can all meet up. I'm not familiar with the area around there, someone else needs to scout it out and get back to us.
