Love that SA in the second pic

The meet was a lot of fun.

I think Innertwist made it home alright, I followed him all the way down to exit 23 and then we split up on statesville rd.

I'll probably let you put it in, i have the thirty but wont have any more money until next week, so i can have you put it in.

For the CAI let me know when you guys are meeting up and maybe i'll drive up.
Thanks man My names john heres my cell just in case 7064055819
Hey John,

No problem It is yours whenever you want it. As far as the hood goes, That would be cool. Anthony has entrusted me to paint his entire car so I have a BIG piece to do. But the hoods and little pieces are somewhat easier. Just let me know when you want to do it and I can get some material estimates together for you.(Paint ,paper etc..)

Not sure exactly when we are doing the CAI. I need to get a hole saw which i haven't done today yet. Buty I am trying to get that taken care of. I'll let you know when we plan on doing that.

I had an intresting ride home from work... With that I will introduce my newest creation,...The Rx7 BAJA edition

I got caught out in a sudden downpour which left about 1-2 inches of puddled water on the road. That mixed with slick tires, a heavy foot and excessive speed for the conditions equals-----

No damage was incuured in the little spin(s) that i did. I caught it a couple of times when it first started to go south. It was headed to the inside gaurdrail when i corrected to the right and stabbed the gas. Which then quickly thru me into 2 spins. At which point I caught the spin on the right shoulder. Which happened to be grass(wet) and a little hill to the right. Of course i slid down to the gulley and sat in a mud hole

The guy that was behind me pulled over in his van and started to applaud me when he got out of the car He said,." That was the collest ****** thing I have ever seen!!" I didn't think so at first but it was pretty fun looking back. I was able to get the car back up the hill by just cranking it along with the starter motor. Anything else resulted in wheelspin.

Anyways, just thought i woul;d share what a jackass I was on the way home!!

Dang Dave! Glad you didn't get hurt. You should start charging people to paint. That way you will have funds for tires!

Good idea. I have just been slacking on the tires. Since I haven't been driving it much. I was about to order them from my cousin when we ran accross something on the way home Sunday. I should have pics to post of that tommorrow. In the mean time, lets play what did Dave and Elizabeth find?

and go!

Initially i would guess if it is all stock, Headers, exhaust, pulleies, flywheel(lightweight) No real power gain just more use of the power there is.

Porting as Stu mentioned. 2 Big bottles,oh and alot of stickers.V-techj/k

I don't know much about the first gens..(yet) but i would imagine you could regear the rear end to gain some acceleration if that is what is desired. But you will lose top end if you gear for acceleration. Just got to find a decent compromise

Nope.. I actually just didn't know the differences in between an SA and other FB's.

BUT The winner will get a set of spark plugs. Can't afford much more than that

If everything goes as planned I should have some pics up in a few hours.

Hey John, Here is a pic of the turbo timer.

Let me ask you guys a quick question. My speedometer marks bout five mph faster than what i'm really doing. Whould that be the tire size or speedometer may be off? I tested it with a Watch your Speed radar.

here is a teaser shot to start with. Tim ,..You win since you are the only one who guesed

I believe the front tires are the wrong size, it appears as the passenger side has grabbed the fender lip. Easy repair.

We have completed the family so to speak. 1981 FB Rx7 !!!woot!! I am a little kid frothing at the mouth

lots of faded/cracked weatherstripping and window trim. Some tears to the door covers, seats. But for a 27 year old car I expect some of that. All in all it is in decent shape. 134=k miles all original. Even has the original sale window sticker..

First thing I will need for it is a header. He said he hit a raccoon and it broke the exhaust. That was a badass raccoon cause the pipe is broken right before the first flange and the cat air pipe is broken as well. No biggie Picking it up/driving it home tomorrow. As he couldn't find the title while we were there. ( just called with it in hand once we walked thru the doors.

Ant- Sorry bro, This was supposed to have happened last night, then tonight, now tomorrow. But I will not go get it until you have dropped your car off. Sorry again for delaying you dropping it off.

Dave
