Saw 3 rx7s today in a 1 mile radius. I saw a golden fc with a large rear wing (like dave's yellow one) going toward NTI, saw a silver fd leaving Talbert point business park and a black fc at cookout on 150. Anybody know who any of these are ????

The bids ended without meeting reserve. Did you e-mail him and ask about what he wanted just for the car? I noticed in one of the pics that it had a pretty good smashed spot just above the right rear tail light. It had really low miles though. O'well, it might be better parted out.

Well, the votes are tied for Saturday or Sunday. I can't make it if it wids up being on Saturday. I haven't had time to swap the dash in the Turbo FB, and I haven't heard back from Zack about Stu's turbo. I still may bring the SA anyway. The old girl needs some play time away from the daily driving .

Wow! Missed all the excitement this week. Haven't been online for 4 days and I see Sam blew a motor and replaced it already. Excellent work Sam. I hope it starts for you today. Credit to Ray and Stu for supplying the "new" engine.
I'm hoping the meet is this Sunday as well. Saturday I'm busy and the next weekend is memorial day so thats out. I can make it for the first hour or so then I'll have to head down into Charlotte for another meeting.

I just wanted to call out to Robbie (robs_seven) and say thanks for letting me grab that SA rearend so i could get the drum brake adjusters off of it. I have it in my garage sans the adjusters and the brakes lines. Anyone need a watts linkage or a good pumpkin or axles for an SA just let me know. Since this was all given to me its free to the next person in the club (local pickup/delivery only). BTW, this rear end is actually in pretty good shape.
Turns out the adjusters on that rearend were in such better condition than mine and so were the hard lines for the brakes that I ended up swapping all the adjusters and hardlines over to my axle. I also fixed the oil cooler leak (loose fitting at the oil cooler end of the hose). Fixed my backup lights so they work again. Did a new mod to my electric fan so it goes off in 4 or 5th gear. No thermostatic control yet, but its close enough for highway cruising
Can't wait for the meet, should be awesome.

Lookin like the meet will be this sunday...as far as ur "cold air intake" If you really want a cold air or "semi-cold" intake you'd have to custom fabricate a screen around an aftermarket filter to block off the hot air from the radiator... I haven't done this yet but have heard some good comments from this cuz during the summer once you have an aftermarket intake the car gets heat soaked much easier and u actually loose performance (but when its cold out, watch out!). So enough rambling...what i did was went to the site spectreperformance.com, they supply 'cheap' but usable intake parts to make ur own custom intake, plus they have a nice look to them. I can't remember at the top of my head all the parts but it was like two elbows, one 3" straight, one vacuum adaper straight piping, a 3"-2.5" coupler (turbo intake side is 2.5"), a couple clamps and a 3" coupler that went to the mass air flow. Might sound kinda confusing, but if ur at the meet i'll show u, it's real simple and i noticed a big gain, plus it sounds cool
