At the moment I only own a Chevy Blazer. The plan is to buy an FD in the spring after I've saved up a decent down payment. I think this will be my 17th car, I've lost count, but it will be in good hands. My plans involve reliability mods, coilovers, and to replace worn parts initially. I need this car to be VIR ready ASAP. I have a track buddy who has been talking **** lately and I need to put him in my rearview mirror.

Welcome BeauNC to our little group. We have our meets the second Sunday of each month at the BK on 267 Williamson Road,Mooresville, NC 28117-6832 off exit 36 I-77.

On a side note. I have finished the spacer for the GT35R. I have it completly installed now. The only thing that I have to do is finish connecting the exhaust to the downpipe. That didn't stop me from busting it off to make sure that I didn't have any leaks, and everything was working properly. This is killing me that I am this close to having it done, and I run out of 3" pipe to connect the exhaust. Anywho, I snapped a couple of pics of the finished spacer.

Bustin' rear irons has been Long's M.O. I haven't even driven mine yet with the HGT35R. I finished buttoning up the exhaust today only to find my downpipe gasket went fooey. Hey Long, the 35 has not puffed the first bit of smoke. I repolished the the tubine shaft and replaced the rear seal. So hopefully the little bit of smoking problem it had is gone. I will replace the gasket tomorrow before I let it down off the jack stands. I want to test drive it so bad it's eating me.

What governs the position of the peripheral ports in the rotor housing?

Can't think of a better way to warp aluminum housings other than welding the sleeves in! (they warp easily to begin with)
Better "Mic" these!

How do you determine where the port sleeves go in the housing? I would think a port as large as that would need careful positioning in order to net any useful power gains?

We'll just have to see There is quite a bit that Long and myself have done with these rotaries that others have questioned. I think the turbo 12APP has been a while waiting..........

That's pretty cool. Have you ever considered supercharging that Peripheral port instead of turbo charging it? That may help give you some better driveability cuz you may loose some serious low end torque with that...top end will be ridiculous though, it should out flow practically any v8

Yes but with the port angle I whent It is the same as a streetport I whent
lower with the pp then some do. So I will still keep alot of the tq and still be a pp.
I'm going to do a square port on the pp, my pp is 18* dgriees lower then most pp's
So we shall see how it turns out, I'm hoping good, Most pp's go strate in, mine is angeled
so I can keep some of the streetport timing, But high timing too/ overlap from being a pp.

I did't know anything that Long or myself do is open for question? We have the fastest, baddest RX7s in the area. Should we be penalized because we built our cars ourselves? Are we not worthy because we didn't drop them off somewhere and pay someone else to build them? I think our testament speaks for itself when Long dynoed 516rwhp at ONLY 20psi.
