decided to sell my alum louvers with the top hooks missing but i do have the side peices...how much should i ask for it...i'v seen these go from 200 to 400... and there mint aside of the little twist screws having alittle rust, and never painted over
and got the muffler on today...its not loud at all and its side ways a little cause of how the pipe was under there...i'm just going to have to save up and have the hole exhaust done, minus the muffler

Waffles - hmmm good

Wow you guys swap engines a lot. Hope it all works good in the end.
I've been working on a hybrid HEI/TFI ignition. My old igniter/2G coil ignition
died on me the day of the last meet. Hopefully I'll have it debugged and working
good this Sunday.

I saw your thread Tim. I can do you one better if your interested. I have a couple of J109 dizzys laying around if your interested. BTW, I didn't really plan on tearing the engine apart this last time. But, on the flip side, I have Viton (teflon coated) coolant seals and cyro-treated 2-piece apex seals, so everything is reusable. No need to buy coolant seals every time

Actually I think the HEI modules (7 pin) can use up to 6 or 7 amps of juice to feed
the coil, where as the J109 is probably in the 4 to 5 amp range. I have no proof,
so if you do, post it up.
Also one of the reasons I embarked on this experiment is that I think the mazda
J igniters will be so hard to come by in the near future that cheap alternatives
need to be found.
The 4 pin HEI was good but its quickly becoming a dynosaur. The 7 pins, either
the 5 + 2 type I used, or the new 7 or 8 pin modules are a dime a dozen in the
junk yards and we should be able to use them as well. Same goes for high
energy coils. The 2G is great but theres butt loads of alternatives out there
that can be used instead.

Funny story. A guy was supposed to pick it up Monday. Called me about 2:00 pm and said that he changed his mind. I was thinking, what a jerk. About 2 hours later, a guy called and said he wanted the car. It was the same guy that was going to buy the car about a month ago. He had something tear up in his well, and had to spend alot of his "car buying" money. Anyway, he came up Tuesday and brought the money and took the car home. He said he would come to the meet Sunday. I don't know, but we'll see.

Dang Patrick. I hate to hear that. That would explain why the kid never called me for tuning it. I always hate to hear about a SA being taken out their prime.

Dude! Thanks for wanting to join our little band of misfits. We meet at LaJoya at 1:00 pm.
On a side note. Long came by yesterday and brought me another 9.4 rotor. I put the engine back together (again) and the the old girl is running better than ever! We swapped out the intercooler and I hope to GOD I don't have any more problems. I don't think that I can deal with pulling that engine apart again.
One thing on the bright side, with the teflon coolant seals and the cryo apex seals, pulling the engine apart and putting it back together I haven't had to replace them. I do not want to do it again any time soon!
