Would it be on Friday at 5:30 like the ad says? If so I can definitely start making it again.

The RX7 club meet will be Sunday at 1:00 pm like always. You should try and make it Sunday. The Friday night meets is a thing that is put on by the restaurant. You are still welcome to come to the Friday thing if you want. I can't come out on Friday nights.

Cars look sexy Sam!

I will mos def be there sunday....for once!

I think i'm going to Take sams advice and say screw BNR, and run a t4 hybrid and a external wastegate all from xspower, heard good things bout em.

So i'm getting ready for the drift season/ show january 16th. My other RX7 is up and running just doing some last minute stuff. putting the rear end in and such. It is a 1990 rx7 N/A with a TII rear end. Swapping bad fenders, which btw r a pain to get off. MY car club team inertias drift car, i donated.

Me practicing in mine, the drift car is pretty much the same without the turbo part.

So i raced a newer mustang gt last night, i wasn't impressed , a 13b up against a 20,000 dollar car and the wankel pulled off by about 2 car lengths, my jaw hit the ground in shock, didnt think my ride was that fast.

Probably the red one, but i'm probably not going to drift her yet because looking over the car today she has been sittinng for about 2 years and now that i've got her running and she's getting excellent compression i will probably change bushings and up the suspension a little before she actually competes more than likely she'll be on a competitive track by mid feb. at the next streetwise event!

I never knew the drift thing would catch on....I used to laugh at it because everyone was so excited about something that everyone down south had been doing since before motorsports was invented...I was doing it since I got my license....only it was down about 3 miles of gravel road and there were trees on the sides of road of you messed up...aww ****...I hit a cone! Lol...the guys running moonshine had it rough....dirt roads with trees...now the rally drivers...they are the real drift pros...I will have to find the video of this one dude....he was up to a 90 degree turn...he had his car PAST sideways for like 25 yards hooked at the apex and was gone....and then you have the dirt track drivers.....I love to watch the originals drifting in Japan too...sideways at 130....anyways.....John...that cars fenders, did they have the aero plastic piece?

Oh...and did you say powerxs or xspower? I have heard many horror stories about xspower. Cracked manifolds, turbos being glued together, etc. Also have seen many of their kits sold new by buyers for far less than what they paid...never used etc. ...bnr is expensive..but quality.....with a warranty...or the t4 is a great way to go to get rid of the stock manifold...but a hybrid is great for ease of install....plus let's face it....if your shooting for higher numbers than what a bnr produces you will be replacing your engine....unless its built well and with high horsepower in mind....

Im not going crazy on the engine i just want a diff turbo because i wanna go higher than 230 hp maybe 260 or 275. and i know the s5 turbo cant go higher than about 230 hp. and why i chose xspower was because i was reading through the project updates thread and saw Sam's engine when he was building it and noticed xspower and his 1st gen seems to throwdown like a bat outta hell.

Oh and if i had a few of my car club members follow in on our meet tommorrow would anyone object since theyre not rx7s?

What about knightsport they make turbos like bnr direct bolt on. and quick question what makes a hybrid turbo a "hybrid"?

Hybrid is usually a stock hot side with an upgraded larger cold side...as I have no personal experience with xspower I can't day for sure either way....I would definitely get a quality wastegate.....knightsport I would buy before bnr but they are harder to find....u can get a used bnr stage 2 for the price of a quality exhaust manifold. But if your buying a new bnr you can get a t4 with a wastegate and a good manifold for around the same price. But the t3t4 hybrid will get you around 300-350 depending on mods and with a good tune and maintenance....a lot of miles. I'm not sure but the lag may be around the same with a good aftermarket exhaust manifold and t4 bc of better exhaust flow....either way a t4 with external gate will be better but will involve custom fab work to install.

T04E with 50 trim cold side. Stock S4 hot side milled to fit the T04E hot side wheel. 40mm ported wastegate with a 1" spacer between the block and the turbo manifold.Had to do that to get the cold side to clear the intake. I made 240 rwhp at 8psi and 6500 rpms. I need to get it dynoed again since I'm running 15psi. I dont think BNR can hang with that I can pick up a new T04E for around $200. BTW, **** on a S5 turbo.

Stock S4 wastegate.

Nicely ported wastegate (by me).
