If my "paying" customers were realistic in what they are going to get for a 1/4 price paint job. And with a sudden " i need it in 2 weeks" deadline that NEVER existed when it was dropped off. Espeacially when starting with a 1965 rust bucket in POS shape. 6 inch plates booger welded inside of rotted out quarters, then filled with 4 inches of filler.
I pull the headlights off and a 4 inch crater appears on his " perfect barn stored car", any place I touched for rust repair turned into welding shut holes left by the expert who did all the metal work.
If he wasn't happy he shouldn't have taken it. He looked at it 3 times before it left.And never said anythiing??? And now he has his brother come talk **** on the internet?. What a man!! And I resprayed all the **** inside the car he was crying about. Which I never even touched inside the car. If he wants a 5k dollar quality job, he can come fork over another 3500 bucks, a car that isn't a pile of ****, and he'll get it. Otherwise head to Maco mother ******!!

Macco has a bad rep. My girls Honduh got keyed at te beach the year b4 last...her dad knew someone at Macco and he painted the car for like $7oo. of course, it was a clean piece of paper......and off the books.....

i think you got it backwards dave. you turned the chicken salad into chicken ****. yea the car had flaws but even maaco doesnt dry shoot paint. and they deffinatly cover up the wheels and engine when they spray the car, and when they say they are gonna do certain things like por15 the inside of the fenders they do it and stand behind there work even if it is a presidential special. and as for the deadline you set it yourself when you told him a month not 3 months. you did 1500 worth of damage to the car. but i guess thats what happens when you spray **** in your garage claiming to have a booth. nobody said the car was barn stored and damn sure never said it was perfect. the reason he just paid you and left is because he was tired of you never returning his phone calls or texts and wanted his car home in what has now become quite apparent, much more capable hands. so leave it alone now, you got your car rebuilt off a half *** paint job and just accept the fact you ripped my little brother off for more than just the 1500 he gave you. he never asked me to get on here and say anything to you about this. i feel bad for even telling him you could paint a car. guess i should have learned that lesson from round 1 of anthonys car.

Sam how much was your paint job? Im just saying, i have had many, many customers cars painted over the years, and i have NEVER paid 4000 bucks. i saw this car before hand and it was in no need for body work, maybe a little glaze, but not the the exaggeration you fore stated. but i do not believe that it was paint job that was worthy of 1500 bucks, in my honest opinion i don't believe.
I dont see anyone that see's that car in the near future at upcomming shows will agree that it was a worthy job either. Im not taking sides, just making an "Honest" observation.

...In Dave's defense, my paintjob turned out very well, actually it looks a little deeper than the factory paint too. And I never gave him a timespan because I have a DD and was in no need for the car back anytime soon so I told him to take his time and not worry about a deadline. But that's all I'm sayin, ya'll can work out the rest...or not.

Perfect timing right when my car is finally getting sprayed right now, should be done tommorrow. how old r we again? be men and adults lets save the bs for in person. and like ant said just my opinion

Andre- If he was man enough to have even called instead of being a ***** and having Josh come talk **** it would be different. The amount of BS and whining that came from him and Josh is unreal. He still doesn't even have the ***** to say what he doen't like? Never complained while it was here. I guess it was because I was hiding it in the direct sunlight when he looked at it. There is a limit to how much free work I will do for anyone. They didn't get the 500.00 charge that was applied to the paint booth AFTER the car was inside it. So a quick breakdown will show how much they profitted:
1500 total payment-
-550 for supplies
-500 for paint booth rental
-30hrs labor at my old rate of 50/hr=1500 dollars.
My profit for working- Negative 1000.00 dollars. Yes I told him 1500.00 He also said the car was as straight and clean as an arrow. BS! Never seen a rustier more filler filled car in my life. Anthony's was in better shape
