The trans is in. Now I need to drop the oil pan, and check for debri. I have already replaced the rear stationary gear and bearing. The car was hooking so hard in second, it was shocking the driveline. Solid mounting the trans this time should help eliminate that problem. We shall see

Either way, you should look for a magnetic oil pan bolt for kicks. I need to get one in mine...

Anyways, on the 1st gens I would guess that the rear end gearset, and axle clips would be the next weekpoint,..after the driveshaft chunks the u-joints of course. Which CAN be replaced, nevere listen to the FSM on the u-joint replacement. I have done all my Mazda shafts U-joints that Mazda says you cannot replace

Got the FD running without the front half of the turbo. Sounds different, but at least I can drive it again And I don't have to worry about boosting by" accident"

Hey Cory, Do you still by chance have that red seat that was in the FC you had? I need a seat for the FB badly. The originals were under the house and are now complete mold piles I needed to redue them anyways, but in the now time I need a seat,
Anyone else have a seat available? Any gen works

Finished putting the interior back together after the trans swap. I dropped the oil pan also. If brass were gold, I'd be a millionare..........Hopefully after cleaning everything up, and changing the oil a couple of times, I might be able to make this engine last till I get the bridge finished.

Techno? I think your slippin Stu. But I did find something you might like. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OOB6VJtjWMg
Buttoned up the FB today. Fired her up and let it run for a while. The engine seems to be running okay, but I still will have to change the oil in it a couple more times. I also found out why I had the stumble issue when the secondary injectors kicked in. I had to mount my MAF straight in front of the turbo again. I don't have enough room for an air filter, so it's back to the pantyhose filter for now. If anybody has a good S5, or TII radiator they might part with, let me know. I guess I'm going to have to do a V-mount radiator to get more clearance in front of the turbo.
