Hey Stu, Or anyone else that knows Could I use just the main port from the Bridge template you gave me as the primary street port? Or is that WAAY too big?
Kory: She said it really depends on what the DA is like in Iredell. If they are hard on past offenses or not. Here in Lincolnton, they won't reduce at all if you have previous Improper equip., PJC etc.. Like she said, 100 to her and she'll do what is possible Thursday. Court costs can be as much as 250 or so soo that will cost more. Any other attorny is going to be at least 2-250

Damn these templates are friggin taaaassty!!! I want to go and port now. Time to make some AL copies. Anyone intrested in a copy? I'll let you know how much after I am done with my copies. Gotta see how big of a PITA it will be doing it myself without a nice laser cutter

It will help that you were nice. They NEVER deal if the cop writes you were rude or angry seriously..

Anyways, you can try to talk to them but honestly there are 2 different legal systems. 1 for the people that try to represent themselves.., and 2.) 1 for the attornies that are handling cases. The second will usually always get you a better result. **** I don't even handle my tickets on my own..

Dave, on your question about just using the street part of a bridgeport template, it's actually smaller than most "large" streetports. The reason being you have to leave enough material betwwen the main port and the bridge. The S5 iron I ported for my engine is the main port of a bridge. I left them that way to go bridge later..................We'll, it's later

So in theory I could expand the closing edge and widen it a little? I have to see how the street part compares to the REW primary ports

Thanks for the info.

Kory, You must appear in front of the judge and ask for a PJC. The good thing about her doing it is she can try for the improper andif that didn't work appear with you and ask the judge for a PJC. You can only use 1 PJC in a 3 year period per insurance policy. NOT per person Per policy So if you have more than 1 driver on it there can only be 1 PJC in a 3 year timeframe

You may want to save that PJC for a more severe occurance should it arise.. which in NC is highly likly in a sports car..right Josh...

Hey Dave. Here's a few pics of the bridgeport I like. The bridge template you have is going to open alot sooner. That will move your powerband up a bit, but will suffer under 4k. This is the same port in the SA bridge (still running BTW), what's going in Long's 12abpt, and soon in my S5 irons.

I really don't like opening the intake port timing any earlier if your are closing the exhaust port timing later. This really creates alot of timing overlap. I don't see the benifit in a boosted engine. Just something to think about.

How do you start the extra port on the bridge? do you drill a starter hole or just grind thru. Where is the SA now? SC still?

Yes, just drill some holes through the iron and grind away. That is how I do all my BP/JPs. If you were doing a streetport, you can use the bridgeport main port and get away with it. The Street port and the Bridgeport main port differences are that the bridge port does not cut as far into the corner seal as you would with the streetport. If you go too far into the corner seal on the bridge you chance weakening the bridge and having cracks. The maximum a streetport can be ported is up to about 40% into the corners.
