I used to spray with Dupont NASON single stage. I switched to PPG here and really like the way it covers better. This is a "local" issue supposedly since PPG says that it is not possible Of course they do, you know how many paintjobs they would have to pay for otherwise because of a faulty product!! Anyways, PITA

No costs are being passed on to you I already bought the paint and my buddy has new sealer that we are going to use. It is just time basically involved. No worries mate, It will look even better now ( Plus I already sanded most of it down
0 I also learned a few tricks to save cash on high dollar paint like yours Everyday I learn something new about the paint game.

driving outside the headlights effective range is bad news, as you now know120 mph is pretty close to 176 feet a second passing by You would have to have lights shining a mile in front to see the road in advance enough. ... lucky it wasn't a deer or other animal

Josh, A cavalier, you putting a rotary in it I hope?

Smokey, I heard you blowed up that turbo Sam sold ya real good. Is it back in shape now?

Stu nice work cleaning the rotors. It takes a lot of elbow grease to get things that clean.

Dre I feel for ya on that cinder block. I hope its just some exhaust rework.

Ok, I'm done checking in for today. Carry on.

Anthony, I feel for buddy.........If it makes you feel any better, the TII let go on me yesterday. Apex seal went in the rear rotor. I got lucky and the turbo is okay. Long felt so bad for me that he brought me a fresh S4 TII streetported with 3rd gen housing, corners and new apex seals. Never started I love this guy. My own personal Jesus Christ........ We stayed up till 4:30 AM making the swap. The freeking thing busted off on the second try with the starter. After 10 miles of driving, I swear this thing is broken in. Were pressing on to Knoxville today. Wish us luck!

Stu, got your text, I am eating lunch and thawing out my hand and toes from the wet-sanding. I'll call you when I head out again in about 1 hour.

Wet-sanding the "old/new" paint down to a perfect finish, Then we seal the entire car with the good stuf which will keep the rest from being dried out and shrinking, causing cracks
Then more color and clear. And another full car wet-sand and buff to perfection.

I just moved inside since it is dark and the neighbors won't be offended by seeing the car. And it is FREAKIN COLD outside to be wet-sanding!!

I'll post you some pics in a PM of what it looks like in a couple more hours. It should be ready for the booth by the end of tonight. Stu saved me a few hours by stopping by and helping out.

Lol it was fun. I liked doing it minus the freezing of the fingers. Grunt work seems to be my thing. Call me when ya need something

Oh, if you don't mind, could you get me a metal copy of the 2 intake ports? Let me know how much it costs so I can throw some green your way. Crap, one more thing, your email for the other template. I also have someone who has a nice big streetport template, but I am trying to con him into mailing me a paper template

Stu

Hey dave. i got micah workin on the body. he called dibs on it b4 i even had the car. prolly gonna be pearl white on the paint end so start studying. and youve got that job. ill just have to get the money together.

Sam sharp edges on irons = chewed corner seals and plugs, which then = FAIL. So yes the irons need a bit of smoothing and some chamfering around the main ports. Gettin in a hurry with a rotary engine just gets you a blown engine, as you would know twice now.
