O'Charlies then to the lake off 150: 2

That way I don't have to change my sig Good idea Sam.

I like the Lake Lure idea but thats a much bigger trip than just meeting up at O'Charlies. We still need to do a picnic with SO involved I think. The SO get jealous of our cars sometimes.

We need to make a concrete decision by this Friday. That way we're not having to waste time Sunday trying to figure things out. That should give everyone enough time to make arrangements. So, us meeting at O'Charlie's first is a plan then. We just need to decide on where we are going after that.

well if things go as planned, my automatic vert will be a GTU vert by the meet hehehehe......................... ive allready swapped the pedals, and interior now im in the middle of pulling the drive shaft and tranny, shouldnt be much more work involved. im also swapping in the GTU rear end as well, since its a 4.33 instead of my 3.91. and with the gearing of fifth in the tranny it still has the same top speed as a regular rx7 but it will get there much much faster. next, turbo...... in due time. dave, is it a 5 bolt flange? i have one if it is.

No Dre, V-Band that is welded onto the turbine housing. Our welder we use at work said he can do it. That just means that I am doing ALOT of work all night long to make the other FD driveable so I can take my turbo apart and send it off to be fixed.

Sounds tempting. Might have to run down there. Not 100% sure, though. I got to go to Paris on Monday for work and the valve on the 7 heater core just started puking coolant. If I can get that leak patched up, maybe I'll head down for the day.

Well it might not be a great day for a long drive in the rain. Good luck with repairing the downpipe. See you guys soon.

Kent, you could always bypass the heater core. I'm not sure whar the weather is going to be like, but the prediction so far is partly cloudy and 48*.

Kent you are not talking about driving all the way down from Virginia for tonight's OGTA meeting, are you? That would set an entirely new standard for a Tuesday evening meet.

Nah..I was talking about the Sunday meet with the crossroads crew. Altanta is a little far for dinner. Although, maybe I could hit a Tuesday night meet sometime if I were on vacation or something.

You and some of the OGTA crew should drive up Sunday. It is basically halfway between us.

That sounds pretty good Kent. If we can get some of the Atlanta guys to come up, we will have a huge crowd! We still need everyone to vote on where we are going from O'Charlie's. If we do not have anyone chiming in, I'll make an executive desicion by Friday. If we are planning on doing a "picknick" lunch, we should go ahead and plan on bringing food and drinks. Just list what you want to bring and we can figure out what we will need by then.

I'm up for whatever. Maybe I'll just come to O'Charlie's early and eat there. Be easier than bringing food. Also, since I won't be able to stay that long, that would free up some extra time to "hang out".

I told Chris (cjf) in Winston-Salem about it. He plans to cruise down with me.

Not sure how late your meets usually run, but I'll probably have to start heading back at like 4 or 5pm so that I can get ready for my trip on Monday.

Since I am limited on time, I would vote for something close (Lake Norman?). Otherwise, I don't really care. Drives are nice, but I would like to visit. Most of you I haven't met and it has been close to a year since I have seen Sam or Tim (end of March last year).

Hell yeah!! I am not missing any of them. I was at the first, and I will go till my last day . I am trying to figure a way to get all 3 down there and represent NC!! MAybe Sam can drive the FB down for us...I know she'll want to drive the FD but soo soryy

I'll post some pics of my turbo if the camera still works. I am having a hard time keeping my electronics out of the friggin rain. The entire rear flange of the turbo came off. The weld cracked in the center all the way around. It was NOT done correctly . looks like it was migged. And you can't MIG Cast Iron very well. It should be getting fixed in the next few days. Don't know if it will be done by the meet though.

As far as I know, meet at O'Charlies at the normal time (1pm), then when everyone is there head to Lake Norman for picture shoot and a possible pic-nic. I would be down for that, I got some foo foo here now.

Who is all going down to Zoom Fest? Better put the avatar in your sig! This time I will actually do the PDX! The "Parade Lap" was hella fun.

I see you are online Dave. You cannot hide.
