Cool. Lake Norman!
O'charlies: 0
Lake Norman: 6
Kent. From I read in the FC3S.org pages it can be left hooked up. I have it mounted in a small box with connectors that can be left unhooked if it presents a problem. Guys, I think the Lake Norman thing is going to be great. We just need to decide on exactly where we are going to have the shoot. It might be a good idea for those who are not fimiliar with the area to meet at the nearset exit or something. Just a thought.

Since the ECU does not require manual activation of the error-code reporting, the monitoring of the DCC1 and DCC2 signals can be done permanently. This will give you immediate indication when an error state exists, and will be similar to the Check Lamp warning in cars of recent models. A simple way to achieve that is to install the two LED assemblies in the dashboard and to connect them permanently to the DCC1 and DCC2 signals. If everything is OK, the LED's will stay off. When an error state exists, they will start to flash, indicating the error code.
This is what I ripped from their site.

Oh, I am going to call the vote. Looks like we will be meeting at LN. Now, being new to the area, I have no clue where at in LN you guys want to meet. Any suggestions?

Stu. I think your getting a little ahead of yourself. Only senior members get to "call" the vote. Wait a minute, you've been with this thing about as long as me I still think it would be best to have have everyone meet at let's say, exit 42? We could meet at the Wilco truck stop off the exit. Same time as we would normally meet at O'Charlie's. That way everyone would know where to meet up, then we could caravan to Lake norman. Sound like a plan?

Just got done welding some more on Ant's car. Finally got all the holes filled in. Every time I tacked a hole, it would burn it bigger due to the shitty previous repair.
Ground it smooth and gave it a coat of POR15 inside and out. Bodywork tomorrow to smooth things up again. That poor baby took a shot in the passenger side
Time to give my welding burned eyes a break. They are watering nonstop and swelled up. Caught the arc a few too many times
I am going to try to go to the lake tomorrow and look around the park for a good spot to take pics. I know of 1 that is big enough for sure, just can't remember the setting exactly.

dave i went and drove up around all over the park and there really isnt any good spots to take pictures unless you want them all to involve a forest behind your car. there is no clear spots with water behind them and the only shots i could see that would be cool is mid road shots but i dont think the rangers would enjoy us blocking the road to much. just figured id throw that out there so we aren`t juggling for a place to take pics when the day comes.

What about Lake Lure? The boat launch down the street from my place is big enough for everyone. Open water in the background..just an idea. Lake Lure may be a bit far for some to want to go but it would be a fun cruise for a change of pace..anyone..

There is a good spot right on the lake on 150 that's big enough to accomadate everyone. If were going to stay up that side of the lake, we can just meet at O'Charlies like normal. Skip the lunch, and just caravan from there. That way we do not have to worry about changing the initial meeting spot. I say we put it to a vote. Meet at O'Charlie's first.
