I can see light thru the body panel where the cracks have been forming... This is where the moisture came from that caused the rust. It is a bunch of pinholes from the welder.
Worst part is that the area is boxed in by the doorjamb backing plate and other reinforcement metal. I am thinking of lightining it up a bit tomorrow when Ant gets here I need to access that panel to beat it back out.
Ant: Sorry for the bad news, BUT good thing is I will fix it so it doesn't do this again

Hey everyone... I want to make a calander of 2009 with OUR cars featured for the photos Yes I just toked a big bong but that has nothing to do with it. Anyways,. If you all have a really nice pic you are proud of and wanted to use that PM it to me or email it to me at rotoryhead@aol.com Subject crossroads calander
IF you don't have a pic, I suggest that the next meet we head to the Lake Norman State Park and find a nice area for some individual pics of the cars and owners and a Group pic of cars/owners/family.
Whatcha think? It won't be a high dollar deal, probably something I can do off a program we already have. We'll see.

Here ya' go Dave:
Where's Lake Norman and what day for the meet? Maybe some of us can truck on up there.
And come on down for the Tuesday OGTA meeting, sounds like we are going to have a pretty good turnout and parts swap (check OGTA thread for details). Bring Stu's *** too, he needs to get out more often. If you want to stay at the Jefferson Motel let me know and I'll chase the squirrels out of the spare bedroom.

Sam, I guess it would probably be a 09and 10 calander. It will take some time to produce. I think we should go to the lake this meet and get some nice shots. I may include the OGTA crew as well in a seperate mixed breed calander I think I am hitting their meet Tuesday

Dave. Thanks for the trailing coil. It works fine. Plug and play. Which means my wiring is okay. One thing I took care of was an issue that I hate about the S4s. They DO NOT have a check engine light. So, the only two options you have to monitor or retrieve the engine codes are 1: Buy a Mazda code reader for $1300 or 2: build your own for about $10. I opted to make my own.......http://www.fc3spro.com/TECH/HOWTO/ER...KI/zerror.html
I found the perfect place to mount my "check engine light". I put them in a small work box from Radio Shack. It will fit perfect beside my wideband I am also going to integrate a shift light in the box. I thought about adding a buzzer in it too, but I don't know how the shift reacts in the S4. We'll see......

Cool beans Cory. BTW, I need to get my spare wheels back from you as soon as I can. I finished up my "check engine" box last night. Works like a champ. I went and powered up the ecu, uplugged a few things here and there, and each time the check engine light would flash a fault for it. This is going to be cool. The only thing I couldn't test is my shift light. Have to actually have the car drivable for that.

Sam: on the check engine light, I would maybe add a switch or somthing to disable it. I know that on the GSL-SE, you will get the TPS error code when driving the car. As you apply throttle, the ECU thinks that the TPS is out of whack (and gives the TPS error code). Would be very annoying..especially if you added a buzzer. Maybe it is different on the S4, but I doubt it.
