Huge mazda meet in south florida

Picking on stock ones???? Nah im not picking on anybody. Its just frustrating to see people talk **** about pistons, when in fact a piston motor is 100 times more reliable than a Rotary motor any day of the week.. I've been working on rotaries since i was 10 years old with my old man. It was my lfe, but after the 15th motor that blew up on me.. I said **** IT... Ive been running the stock 1J for over 2 years now and not one problem.. And i beat the **** out of it every time i go out.. Everytime... All i got to say is to each his own, but dont say pistons are for bitches cause i aint no bitch!!!
Who ever wants to run me ... Bring that ****... I'll race anyone... No matter if i win or lose... Its all about the sport!!

if you said **** IT after the 15th motor then thats when u should have bought a supra and joined the supra forum where supra engines belong, in supras...rx7s are rotary cars...
...and if you're running a piston engine in your rx7 then you're just gona have to deal with things like "pistons are for bitches" ...those are personal attacks...just rotary lovers loving their rotary cars

my man, we're not knockin you for loving pistons...i have a love for both, and i build generators too, so pistons are second nature to me...but you're on an "RX7" forum...of course we're gona say pistons are for bitches because we're talkin about rotary cars that are meant to have rotary motors...

To each his own.. I choose to keep my 7 because i love everything about it except the unreliablity of the motor. Have you ever driven in a Supra powered 7??? The weight distribution is so much better than with the rotary its almost as if the motor was meant to be in the car... Ill give you ride so you can see what im talking about.. Anyways man no bad blood man. We all have love for the same things.. Sort of..

you better be putting down some serious power if you're planning on winning.
hahaha i wouldnt challange jesus on a race .

I normally stay out of these squabbles but had to add my .02 since my experience contradicts so strongly. Do you keep oil in your rotaries? LOL
My '79 RX7 had 300+K on the original engine before I sold it and bought an '85 which had 121+k on it before a Caddy decided he needed more room than I on the highway. My current is an '84 with 169+K on original engine and I have yet to have a problem with this engine
The injectors, rear main seal, and flywheel studs in my '93 Soarer had to be replaced before 60K ! When a turbo went out, I sold the car and stupid me...bought my current IS300. Haven't had much luck there either (although it is a 2JZ). So far the ECU has had to be replaced, and I just replaced the throttle body 2 weeks ago....and it only has 82K miles ! Thank God it was under warranty!
So IMO, rotaries have been MUCH more reliable than pistons...Like you stated at the end..."To each his own" I guess

I usually never get into these arguments but...
Coming from both sides of the spectrum and you can check my sig, after attending the annual churrassco meets i always have a flock of 7 owners who talk **** when i pop my hood, and then ten minutes after everybody goes they're way the same ones who talk **** come up to me and eventually contract me to swap there cars to piston power. ROTARIES ARE NOT AS RELIABLE AS PISTONS PERIOD. Unless it's non turbo and maintained flawlessly. Yes they're powerful and great and smooth and blah blah blah, but lets face it don't live in denial.I love rotaries i love pistons but it's all about the hobby, we enjoy these cars and just because there's piston swap doesn't mean its blasphemy just means it's modded differently. so run what ya brung or please shut up , Cuba is ready to run whoever .he never said he was better and like the usual all the d!ck jumpers came into the thread. lets go to this meet and if u wanna run let's do it.

Walmart sounds good to me, but I think we should all meet up at high noon, just because the meet starts at 12pm, so by the time we all get together and get there, it'll probably be 1pm and it ends at 5pm. Unless you want to roll in late, 7 style, and just make all the non 7 car owners salivate?

"when in fact a piston motor is 100 times more reliable than a Rotary motor any day of the week.." That is NOT TRUE AT ALL if the person be it rotary or piston head knows what he is doing your engine will last!!! Don't get it fucked up bro just ask Phil how many passes he did before the rebuild! WE ALL know he beats that car like a **** star beats a dick!!! Chris...
