We're meeting at Emerald Isle on Saturday October 5th. Most likely meeting at the Golfin Dolphin just before the island between 10 and 11 am. Then to lunch at Michaelangelo's pizza on the island which will proceed a day of cruising, picture taking, and just calm chillin' out and talking/gawking over eachother's cars. Any type of car/car enthusiast is invited.

We would love to see you there

I was in Richlands Va, which is right near WVA, for a year, so I guess that makes me a redneck as well.

Just got back from the beach and here is what i found out. There is a seafood festival in morehead city that day. Just something else if anyone is interested in it. Morehead is after the other end of the island so that may be something to check out. Just found out there are TWO michaelangelos', so for anyone confused we will be going to the one ON the island, not the one in swansboro. The address for the Golfin Dolfin is
Hwy 24 behind Hardees
Cape Carteret
number there is 393-8131
(area code isnt on the ticket i got)

thats about it.

Son of a Bitch, I live in Greensboro and would love to take my fellow Greensborian RX-7 owners to the the meet but I'll be in Georgia. Ya'll need to set a second date, so I can scurry on over to eastern NC.

Depending on how this meet turns out I am sure we will be doing another one. Maybe even turn this into a regular event every couple of months or so, and in different places. OK so Golfin Dolphin is actually on 24. So now I know, cool thanks Stephen. I am all game to check out the Seafood Festival, I love some seafood.

I love me some fried shrimp

Thanks for the directions Stephen, that helps all of us out alot So we're meeting between 10 and 11 at Golfin' Dolphin on hwy 24. I'm probably going to shoot to get there as close to 10 as possible.

hey Tony...Go Herd! My mom *almost* went to Marshall, she had her dorm already and everything, then didnt go. All of her family went there, my Grandpa is a huge Marshall fan (Randy Moss was the man) You know that 25 inch bass I was talking about earlier....I caught her while wearing a Marshall University tshirt.

George, do you have off of work yet?

Yeah George you get off for this huge event yet ? I went to the Marshall game a few weeks ago at VT. I have a Moss autographed game program from his senior year.

Speaking of roper, almost landed a FAT speeding ticket there one time. 3:00am, right by the supermarket, on 64. The man let me slide. He was way cool, and understanding believe it or not.

My dad might be there (he's 40). We dont care how old you are, we're all pretty mature, and you're a car guy...so are we, thats all that matters.

You're welcome to join us.

I forgot about the Seafood Festival. I know it sounds redneckish, but really, it's like a county fair. It's a good time. I went a few times while I lived there, and went with my (now ex-) g/f last year. They have live bands there and stuff. Last year they had the Drifters (I think, one of those Beach Music bands), among others.

Stephen, can you get a hold of a programme, so you can tell who'd playing?

That would be a great place to wrap up the meeting, I think. Lots of traffic, though, so be prepared.

BTW, area code for that part of NC is 252. Anyone besides me remember when the hole state was 919?

Ren,
I remember when the whole state was 919. Really wasn't that long ago was it? Hey George don't any of your friends need a job? Get one of them hired on.
Maybe you'll get lucky and someone will get hired so you can get off. It looks like I will also try to be there around 10. Anyone have any friends tagging along?
I am still working on a guy here with a 86 base to come.

well fellas....I've got bad news as well. I got grounded yesterday...and my mom said I cant go to the 'thing' with all of my car friends. Referring to our meet at Emerald Isle. But she was being rash (she gets like that sometimes) and the meet is still 2 weeks away, I'll talk her into it. I'm still off of work that night, so I'll find a way to make it.
