Thanks to Mike and Jason who traveled out to Cherry Branch to meet me. We had so much room for more sevens. I think it could have easily taken over the ship. If you couldn't make it you missed a very nice trip. Better than I expected. We met at 10am, but Jason was running late. I'm just glad he didn't get a ticket trying to make it in time. I think we got on the 11am ferry and it took around twenty minutes to cross the neuse river. On the ferry we made plans to head father north to Aurora and take another ferry across the Pamlico river to Bayview. A short trip up to Highway 264 and over to Washington where we took route 17 down to New Bern and completed the circle. We went to Ruby Tuesday's for a late lunch, but forgot to take pictures when we got there. Thanks again to Jason and Mike who made my first meet a sucess.
I'd like to take a trip out to the Cedar Point ferry for an early excursion through the winding marsh lands down east. I will be making plans soon so stay tuned!

Thanks for the compliment and invite. I can't go this weekend though. Family comes first so my trips have to be planned well in adance most of the time. I have to admit the distance plays alot into when and where I show up too. I have a borring three hour drive up to Raleigh.

Nice pics, would love to get the RRDI and Jacksonville groups together and go on an outerbanks/ferry trip this spring. Make it a weekend drive sometime before we all head up to Fontana Village for DGRR in April. We could definitely get a ferry full or rotaries and that would be an awesome picture for RXTuner magazine if it is still in publication.
Don't forget that we're coming down to Goldsboro on the 15th for the Air Show and then to Wilmington on 11/04 for the Brits and Battleship Car Show. Hope to see a bunch of y'all there.
I think about the best thing you can do as a car group to generate interest and enthusiasm is to drive your cars as a group. Standing around a parking lot looking at and talking about cars is good but getting'em out and excercising them is what owning a rotary is all about.

Saturday was a beautiful day to drive. We could not have asked for better weather.
