Dark Side

I've moved to the Dark Side. I have been without a 7 since I sold my 87TII with a streetport, T04 and all the fuel goodies. I just bought a 94 Supra TT spd. Have I shamed my rx-7 brothers?

I always thought the dark side was going to domestics?

At least now you can make 400whp and not worry.

Yeah 400hp in a TT supra will get you maybe mid 13s . The interior sure is plush though.

Running 12s, LOL.
Seriuosly, Supras are REALLY nice. I love them. Congratulations, and hopefully you will be one of the "good" Supra owners. You have to respect RX-7s and realize that one with the same hp as you will beat you.

They're reliable. period.

You can drive it through a mine field and KNOW the engine will be the LAST thing to ever blow on you.

Seriously, get whatever kind of car you want. It's your paycheck, it's your life...

Personally, I'll drive whatever kind of car I want. Whenever someone offers to make car payments for me, then I might say, "Sure....what kind?"

Ya I've heard all that about the track but I never go to the track. I went twice with my TII and I was running mid 13's and trapping 110 +/- I just dont' like the way the track launches. Then I caught myself saying well if I had slicks I would run..... but I didn't have slicks so whats the point ya know?

Ive heard from somebody at miata.net that supras had a problem with blowing head gaskets, And G-reddy or somebody sold "special" head gaskets to address this problem, Or so Im told.

Ive also heard reports that supras suffer from the same "short nose crank" syndrom that 90 model and some 91 model miatas suffer (also heard at miata.net).
