Closest Shop to Birmingham Alabama
just for future preparations....anyone happen to know the closest builder to birmingham, alabama for rebuilds and installs? I know hinson supercars is around here but thats only ls1...bnr is here but he only does turbos...anyone good in atlanta if say, the car had to be towed there in the future or something?
- someone who knows all the best national shops and builders should make a map and pinpoint them on the map and then make a sticky

ive met bryan he does the engine work on the side when he has time but he says hes getting out of it...i can understand the liability it must be...so for pure assurance purposes i'm trying to locate a definate engine building shop where i can have my engine replaced if i dont hav time to wait for personal builders incase of an unplanned blow up...what about this rotary resurection? what do you guys think about worse case scenario if i dont have time to install myself...order reman and have a local shop install...would it really require that much rotary knowledge to install the engine?

Plus Mazcare is a legitimate shop that will stand by what they do.

IIRC, there is a rotary builder in either Montgomery or Birmingham that builds mainly racing engines...
I forgot the name though.
nm, I did a quick search and it's in Jasper... SAS Racing.

Also, there is my builder here in AL. He built his own lapper, cranks every motor on an engine stand, and has 25 years of experience building rotary engine.
PM me if you are interested in him.

Phil,
Didnt think you were going to post on this forum anymore?
Purely out of curiosity...why do you always refer to "your builder" and tell interested parties to "pm you". Why not just post up the info...better for everyone involved that way? OR does your guy only want to do X number of engines per Y period of time or something?

Kevin,
My guy only does it on the side and doesn't want to deal with random people calling him to ask questions and questions. He's not here to make ton of money nor looking for business. Hence, he told me he will only build those I recommend. Don't worry Kevin, he only builds hand full of engines per year , takes 2-3 months to built, and cost is fairly high..

Hello all.
If I were to take on an engine, what would happen is the next day I would have 20 turbos in the floor to do! It always happends. So I will just do my own cars when times are slow and let the other guys have fun getting greasy .
