great idea Chuck.. if i were anywhere near you i would sign up in a flash. i will bet that there aren't 10 people on this board that wouldn't come away w a number of valuable ideas... perhaps the art of logging being the most valuable.
if you are nearby sign up.

I'll post more detail info later on this week... or send out an email (locations, address, time).
One other thing... I work at a locked facilities (on weekend). So, we all need to enter the building all together... So, if you are to meet me at my work, you HAVE to be on time!! NO exception!!! I suggest that you plan to meet us at lunch.

We'll decide on lunch location and you could meet us there.

Hey Don and Everyone else..
Lets take a quick vote on what kind of food you all want to have...
If we want hamburgers, there is a cool little place called, "Hamburger Heaven" on the way to Downtown from the track..
If you want sit down Thai, there is the Surin west downtown (but parking will be harder).
And then there is the Jim and Nicks.
Let me know what you want for dinner and lunch.. Otherwise, I guess I'll just pick (Hooters or J&N).

How about Logan's on Friday night.
Something downtown Saturday for lunch, get us closer to UAB, maybe Thai, Chinese, whatever else is there.
And maybe J&N's or something in Trussville on Saturday since it is closer to the track, and the RX-8 guys wont' have as far to drive so maybe more will come.

One thing Phil and I were talking about last night is power for the conference room for the class itself. If you're planning on bringing a laptop, bring a power strip and a short power cord. We might have to get creative plugging everything in .
Also, Chuck, would it be a good idea if attendees have Excel and the Datalogit software already loaded and ready on their laptops?
Can't wait for the class!

I'm only going to have access to one laptop instead of two like I hoped. Also the one I'm bringing is a second hand laptop that was purchased by my work for uploading satellite images and does not have Excel and since I don't have a the Datalogit software it's not on there either. If it's going to be more of a hassel to bring an unprepared laptop, then I just rather not bring it. Let me know.

Dale,
Thanks for mentioning that...
I think due to space and number of power outlets in the conference room, it might not be a bad idea to share a computer with someone next to you.
I'll bring my software with me for those who might have to install it on their computer.. due to new computer or forgot to install THEIR software at home

I'm iffy on even getting our laptop. My wife may need it to do some school work. If so I'll just look on with someone if that is ok. I can't think of anything he is going to go over that I can't write down anyway.
