So How did the meeting go?

 

Meeting was good AC, about 5 new members were there, from memory this is who i saw, Josh/simplycomplex w/10AE and Meagan, MikeRX7 and Stacy, Dusty and Tad and girl who drove RX8 from lakeland area, Anthony/T88, FCakezilla and bro, Ryan/dsc8er, Paul, Rico, Tony, me, J and Jennifer, Moses, Pito13b and Alex and Eddie and girlfriend Claire, sorry if i missed anyone plus I didn't get to talk to new recruits much to get names memorized. I am stepping down as vice-president, i might run for re-election next year, we'll see. I will be involved as a member. I want to remind the club I have a car trailer to pick up cars or parts for hire. Price will be adjusted to job, time, gas. If you get stuck somewhere and don't have AAA, and don't know someone, i will be able to get you home. Or you need to take car to shop that's not running. Give me another week, unless it is emergency and I will be ready for business. If you need parts, let me know, i can try to locate the best price for you. Rico and Tony give me a call for another meet idea or list of ideas. Anyone else that has something they want to do should make a post, then we can make a decision at next meet. I would like to run cars on a Wednesday night at Bithlo for 15$, it could be fun as you can line up against your arch enemy in club all night or some other local cars. My friend ran last Friday in his Stang 89 i think, 10.88 @ 126mph. that is on the street, yes it has a roll cage and fuel cell, blah blahblah. all motor no nos or blower. he works at machine shop near me, so if you need some work like that let me know. My car should be sold no later than this weekend and shipped to NY, so if you know any good cars, prefer FD, TII, Vert, 10AE, GTUs, S5, 1st gen. Have a good Labor Day and Pito call and let me know where your staying for that weekend Anyone else in club or forum, there is a ginormous surf festival for the NKF [nationalkidneyfoundation] an annual event inCocoa Beach on Labor day weekend. Typically,.there are over 100,000 people over the 3 or 4 days. about a 5 mile long beach party!!!! If you come over lets hang. somewhere together. Lots of entertainment bands, bikinis, etc. In the future, we can set this up as a meet, I know some of the event organizers, and there is also an Annual Easter Surf contest which is a little mellower, but I also have connections to that event. Charley don't know how to surf!

 

Hey Rob sorry to hear your stepping down as Vice President , but you can count on my vote when re-election comes around. You always bring good ideas to the table. I will love to go to the track Rob Lets make this happen. On another note I'm happy to hear about all our new members and look forward in meeting them all on our next meet. AC, everyone says hello, and you know my offer bro, if you need ANYTHING, let ME know.
Thought I would drop a bomb. I spoke to my partner in parts. We are setting up a meet over there at a local restaurant. After meet, we can have a parts day at shop! This is an incredible offer, from a serious businessman, that has supported the import and RX7 community professionally, with parts to complete cars for over 20 years. I will give details when they become available. Also, he has been keeping track of our club, and will probably start attending regular meets, so to everyone who knows me and about this, this is the ultimate oppurtunity period, as far as building your cars bar none. I don't want to hear flamers on here about this either. If you don't care, don't say anything. I will talk to club officers and they will let the club know as we arrange. To everyone at meet and past meets and the Miami crew I hang with, thanx for all the support and look forward to another expansion in our community, and lot's of good times.
