ATL/GA: My first rotary...need help :)
How's it goin guys? Just joined the Mazda Family after i finally picked up a 94 RX-7 couple of days ago. It was neglected by the previous owner, and happy that i have it now so i can give it the treatment it deserves. He let the car sit outside for most of it's life, and drove it every few months. Here's the fun part. I don't know any rotary ABCD's and the car needs work.
-New Front Engine Gasket (paper one is done. I want to put the Cosmo Metal Gasket in). Engine is good tho, compresion test came out good.
-Turbo 2 isnt' working, and 1 is doing the work so i am looking to change both turbos.
- Pretty much all the fluids, prbly new hoses.
Not driving the car rite now because of the work it needs, plus paper gasket is barely holding in, if it goes i won't be able to take it anywhere other on a flat bed. Looking for someone locally who can help me out do this stuff. Heard good things about Mazda community on local atlanta automotive forums. Beer/Pizza Buffet on me lol.

Welcome to not onlyt the Mazda Family, but the Rotary Family. Some regular rotorhead just got together last night at Jeffreys in Suwanee (north of Atlanta off of I-85). Regular Old Guys with 12As club, AKA OGTA. Come check us out next time, you don't have to drive the car to meet everyone.

Well, when I was in an FD, it never needed any work, so I never really got involved. I'm good with a wrench, though, once you decide how to proceed. Come on out and see everyone sometime.

You missed it by a day. Last night was the monthly Atlanta meet for OGTA. There's a group from importatlanta.com (another good place to look for some fellow wrenches, maybe) that are having meet at Ft. Yargo. None of the OGTA crew have been to Ft. Yargo or are involved, but some are headed out there for the first time next weekend.
Ft. Yargo thread
The mapquest location that's posted in the thread is a dead link and I'm locked out of importatlanta.com from work, so I'm dead in the water. If someone else can follow up or update the Old School thread with a good link from Import Atlanta, that would be super.
