So, I have 17x9 +45 RPF1s up front, and I fully expected to have to buy new wheels to allow these brakes to fit (the Stoptech calipers are known to interfere with them). Anyway, I got my Wilwood kit in the mail today and decided to give it a test fit... and they fit under my RPF1s! There's 5mm+ of radial clearance to the barrel of the wheel, and 3mm of clearance from the spokes to the inner edge of the caliper (similar spoke clearance to the stock caliper with this wheel).

Thanks for posting the rpf1 figment. I have the same wheels and thought for sure spacers were in my future. Glad to hear they fit!
Mine should be installed in about a week, can't wait.

Our second batch of kits is going out later this week. For anyone in the second half of the GB we should have kits assembled and packed for shipment hopefully by the end of the week or sooner!

Email info@sakebombgarage.com or PM us here. We have been out of the shop for most of last week for Monterey car week but we're back in full swing . Standing next to Christopher Von Koenigsegg with their new platform at the Quail was both humbling and inspiring! We'd love to push the FD platform as far as possible with the resources we've got, and are more inspired than ever to do it.

I sent a deposit on the gb on your site. Should I have received an invoice for the balance?

We just watched that here at the shop a couple weeks ago, absolutely motivating! I'll second a recommendation to watch that movie for anyone who hasn't seen it (it's on Netflix now)

I know you guys are just cooling off from the launch of this kit. But has there been any additional discussion regarding the a rear 4 Piston using the OEM caliper for parking brake duties?

Great idea if you can pull it off.

Thanks everyone who has purchased a SBG Track Day BBK from us... we are now completely SOLD OUT. That makes it 40 kits sent out so far, so thanks to everyone who threw their hat in the ring to make this happen!

If there is interest in another run, please list your name... if there's more interest we'll get another 1-ton order of 2024-t351 going. Since it is a very exotic alloy it takes us quite some time to even obtain the raw materials... this particular alloy that we use for the hats is often used in aerospace applications, but VERY hard to track down in sizes this large.

Cheers everyone!

Just completed my first track day on the Wilwoods (Atlanta Motorsports Park), and I'm happy to say that they performed flawlessly. When I had the stock brakes on the car, I never managed to make it through a track day without trashing a set of rotors (warpage / thickness variation), and I always had inconsistent brake feel throughout a session. The Sakebomb rotors didn't warp and the brakes felt exactly the same every time I hit the brake pedal.

Supporting info: Sakebomb rotors (not the floating APs), Hawk DTC-60 pads (I may downgrade to a different pad, these tend to rattle at slow speeds both with the Wilwoods and stock calipers), 35mm pistons in the Wilwoods, stock rear brakes, ~320hp.

Besides creating a whole other thread on this kit I figured I’d bring this one back. Are there any more long term reviews on this kit? I’m torn between this and the AP kit. I know people are gonna say AP is better etc. I’m just trying to weigh my options. This won’t be a track dedicated car. So if everybody has had nothing but good experience with this kit, it will probably be my choice. Thanks for any info!
