So I got something expensive for the FD today...
Will be sweet sitting in a nice, comfy, cruise control, A/C equipped, smooth riding, kick *** tow rig while I take the FD to the track... Nevermind the fact that I got 22-24mpg consistently on the way home! can you say less than an 1/8 of a tank driving 100+ miles? And this is before even chipping it, most people easily see a 4-6mpg increase after a few basic modifications, i'd guess i'll probably get somewhere around 18mpg towing the FD.
So now I just need to find an all black trailer, to go with my black dodge ram 2500, and my brilliant black R1 .
Thanks for looking!

I'm not quite baller enough to be rollin' around with an enclosed trailer, maybe in a few years ... For now i'll be sportin an 18'-20' open trailer, tandum axle, electric brakes, gopher tail, pretty basic, but something I can get my hands on for $1500 or less .
I'll definitly post up another picture when I get it outfitted to tow the FD around. Here is a picture of the FD itself, so for now everyone can just imagine it on a trailer, behind that truck , excuse the dustyness, this was shortly after being pulled out of storage.

I work at a diesel performance shop... Those 24v Cummins do get up and go pretty good with just a chip and a few other minor mods. Tons of torque. To bad you weren't closer to our shop or i would try and hook you up with a few goodies...

Yeah that would be cool. For now i'm just gonna get new tires, and a spray in bedliner for it (probably line-x), the mods will have to wait until after I get a trailer most likely.
And it scoots pretty good right now, I test drove one with the edge chip and it was just unreal how fast it was. I'm not lookin' for a ton of power, but it won't be hard to find .
What kind of fuel additives do you guys use/push at your shop? A lot of the CTD guys seem to recomend this Power Service stuff, a buddy who's opinion I trust also says it's good. I just want something that will lubricate all the fuel/injection pumps and keep them happy for a long time to come .
And thanks guys, i'm totally in love with this truck, if you ever have the opportunity I highly recommend one .
