sc300 with a 20b O.o

I'm not impressed at all.
If they had put a turbo charged 4 rotor in there, I'd be like DAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMNNNNNNNNNNN
I think after seeing the 350z with a 3 rotor in it , the standard of a 3 rotor in another make vechile went up a scale.
Dont get me wrong, the toyota soara, which is what that car is called in japan(lexus counter part) looks awesome, but with an engine bay that long, I'd go alittle more extreme if I was gonna put money like that in it. Awesome stuff neither less.

from browsing around ... its quite a steep price tag step to go from a 3 rotor to a 4 rotor. And no i don't mean labor i mean just the price of the block. A 3 rotor can be bought for around 4-5k$ compared to 4 rotors of around 15k$ from what i've been seeing ..

20b nowhere as popular as the 13b , but was available stock in car. So a bit easier to get.
Either way, very nice !!!!

2jz=20b

Titan Motorsports put down over 2200hp on a stock 2jz block (not bottom end) but it wasn't in a supra. I really don't think you can compare the 20b to the 2jz simply because of reliability. A stock bottom end 2jz can last forever making 800whp. I don't think a 20 could do that even if it were built. I'd say a if both were built, a 800hp 20b would be about the same as a 1500hp 2jz (reliability wise).
BTW why is the 2jz in question here? Soarer's came factory with a 1jz

Agreed
I admire the fact that they did the swap just because it was different as much as I do Top Secret putting a RB26 in a Supra but like you said...A 2JZ would be a lot more simple and practical. The Japanese seem to love rotaries. Every time I've gone over there for the Tokyo Auto Salon, the most popular car there was either a FD or GTR.
