New Rx7 Concept Pics!!!
Untranslated from the german site this came from.
Rotorhead opgelet!

It's Dutch man ,not German... So I'll translate briefly.
In October Mazda will present on the Tokyo Auto show a new coupe. In the past yeaars they have shwon several new concept cars but now they will a model on the base of the Kabura prototype.
Mazda's new sports car will use the new Renesis II rotary engine. This new model will be the first new coupe '3door) car since the RX7. Key words are distinctive appearance, light weight and power.
The last RX7 was produced back in 2002 and is still considered the engineering highlight in MAzda's histroy of engine and design. Therefor it's about time that MAzda comes with a new real sports car to put next to the MX5 (Miata) and RX8.

Well, they're stupid for putting misinformation in saying it's a "new rx7 concept"... It's not.
REPOST
The RX8 wasn't based off the RX-01 concept. It was Based off the RX-Evolv or whatever it's called.

you can see the FD platform in the vid too. So a prototype ISN"T always the final product.

Good thing it's NOT an RX7.
I don't know, I kind of like the RX01. It's different, but it's sort of like the NSX of Mazda. But whatever that thing is up there, I hate it. I would rather drive a RX8 and for me, that's saying something.
