Me drifting my 88 T2!! Give me FEEDBACK!!

Ok, first of all let me say sorry for the camera man as he was more interested in watching than recording.. lol. And second, yes i know the editing was crappy.... but my friend did it in like 30 mins or less out of 15 mins of footage. This footage is over a year old.

I am a street drifter and this was only my 5th time at this track. As you can see it is a gokart track and is only about a lane wide in many places.

The car... has jic coilover/intake/exhaust and everything else is stock.

anyways.. these are my skillz a year ago...

i want feedback!!

my car has since had really bad electrical problems... I finally sent it to a relative(who was a master mechanic for mazda for many years n has back ground in building and racing rx7's--- lucky me)This car has stock psi in the vid. 7-8 psi.

The car is in the shop getting modded for the first time since then. He is intalling the BNR stage 4 today along with 2 x 1000cc on top and I ws planning on getting a Microtech but he says the FPR should be sufficent for what i have... IDK about this but ill see how it runs first before throwing another 1500$ on a EMS. Oh i already had a walbro 255 in the car..

Oh this track has been closed since a week after this footage.. jacksonville, fl now has 0 yes ZER0 tracks---- in the big *** city.. can u believe it..?

I guess i will remain a street drifter=) <-- but i never get footage on the streets=/

Let me get this straight your putting a BNR stage 4 and 2x1000cc on top( I guess that you mean secondaries) and no way to control them. Yeah thats a no go. Why don't you do a little bit more research on different option for EMS.

Yes it does mean secondaries.... and if you read i said "but he says the FPR should be sufficent for what i have... IDK about this but ill see how it runs first before throwing another 1500$ on a EMS. Oh i already had a walbro 255 in the car.."

I have done my research and told him that was basicly impossible. He straight up told me to stop reading on the internet cause he has done this several times and that he would have my car ready to go.......

DUde... this guy has fotos of him teaching a big classroom with a rotary shortblock on a stand next to him. Along with many other pictures of his drag and circuit cars. which he build the engines himself.

And from what i hear from my uncles he was very popular in puerto rico for he rotary success. If anyone can make it happen. A puerto rican mazda master mechanic can...

SO i am willing to see if he can pull it off.

Alright don't bother to search on a forum that has plenty of people with years more experience than you. The fact of the matter is the stock ecu is not going to be able to control the huge injectors. It doesn't know that your dumping in more fuel than needed. And its not going to be able to pull more timing out when your running higher boost than its meant too.

I know what u mean.. dude.. i tried to tell him that the ecu would run blind in higher boost levels... trust me.. he sorta gave me a smirk and shook his head..
Not my idea but he says he can do it.... and besides..

lol, +1 for a ems Your not gonna get to far without one.

"I ws planning on getting a Microtech but he says the FPR should be sufficent for what i have." What does the microtech have to do with the FPR?
I wouldn't worry about the fpr I would worry about the ignition timing and the fuel mixture when the sec. open up.

I originally had 15 minutes of footage... but most of the time the camera man was not even holding the cam still so it was useless footage. A lot of the other footage was in the distance with many pine trees in the way.... so that was useless also...

But the track is a half mile long and i can drift the whole thing non stop except for the starting straight away.. but after the first turn... im sideways non stop. But the footage wasnt good enough to show all my skill.

Once i get my car back though... im going to concentrate on getting nothing but footage..

I know my skillz arent that great but.... i have only been in a track those 5 times...
every thing i learned by doing a drift or 2 on the way to a freinds house or any other place... so i really dont have the practice i need... but once i do get my practice my skillz will blow up like they did those 5 times at the track.

Oh and im not that sideways because i was actually trying to get good lap times...

you really need atleast an rtek 2.0, but a haltech would be way more beneficial. and depending on boost levels, 1000 secondaries arent gonna cut it. good luck poping your first motor!!

Workin on chaining, transitions are kinda weak. Little bit more anticipation, you seem to let the car drag through the turn, instead of kicking it out. The stuff on the tarmac seemed much better, so I will attribute the weaker sections (i.e. go kart track) to the fact that the track was so narrow. Otherwise, good stuff.

BTW, your BOV sounds like heaven.

thanx guys for the feedback. As soon as i get my car back in a month or 2. I will concentrate on getting nothing but footage on the streets(since there arent any tracks here). And i will be posting more vids for you guys when i get the footage to work with.

WHen i get the car back my main goal is to concentrate in prooving my skillz on camera, as im in great need of a promotional vid. Since im going to be looking for sponsors.

Representing South East, Puerto rico, and for the rotary power.( i am ready to start taking out some silvias)

Chris
