HAHA, very cool..Actually, after we beat jack with our Supra, FINALLY after two seasons. Jack got with us about re-building the RX7 . He wanted to get pretty serious with the RX and we started planning the build from scratch. he dropped it off at the shop the next week..Sorry to disappoint but RRR just supplied the engine for the car.. Might not for next year, it's up in the air...
just setting the record straight.

I would hope a 600+ supra could hang/beat a 380(?) FD around a track. Anyway good job, it seems that finally the FD is starting to be seen as the track beast it is. Before the last few years it seemed that only the Japanese knew about the capabilities of it since it dominates at most circuits in japan for RWD competition like R-Magic's Tsukuba holder. BTW, Eric, why dont you guys do any drag builds with supras? Drag is our specialty here at Boost Logic. Im sure youve heard of our shop name. In the end nice build you guys at Twins Turbo did for Jack.
HAHA, why don't we do any drag builds with Supra's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!..had to laugh..I have defiantly heard of Boost Logic, guys build nice cars.
Not to school you about Supra racing history, but back in 1996 there was a Supra built by some guys in NYC at a shop called Performance Factory NYC. the driver /owner was Vinny Ten. the guys who worked at the shop building and racing the Supra were My brother and myself, along with a few others that are still in the industry. Our Supra was the first in the 11's, 10's, 9's and 8's in the 1/4. Along with being the first to go 140,150 and 160 mph in the world. we kinda put Supra drag racing on the map 10 years ago. Since we have moved out to Cali and the road Race tracks are closer, it is a brand new challenge to learn how to keep cars together, running hard for 30+ minutes. That and we get to run our import cars against Vipers, Corvette's and Porsche's, and kick major butt..
Glad you like the car, my question is when is boost logic building a road race car?, LOL.....

All I know is that we are the fastest IRS Supra in the world. Also, I think we might have something up our sleeve for road racing...ya never know. Currently we are sponsoring Leh Keen and GSC Motorsports. So who was driving the FD? The owner himself Jack? Good talking with you Eric, lets keep it professional.

always professional and , just fun. Hope you weren't offended. Since you had no idea about our dragracing history with the supra, i thought id share it with you. I don't keep up with drag racing anymore so im not aware of the IRS record. congrats on that..
and as for the supra keeping up. the RX weighs aprox 350 lbs less that the Sup. the driver Jack is a semi pro with 10 years driving. so Steve the supra owner has his hands full with Jack. in reality its amazing that he can keep up. the Hp is a big help, but negotiating turns is what matters to put a fast lap together. Jack has that dialed.

Thanks and again congrats on building an awesome car for Jack. I totally agree having alot of power makes things more complicated on the track and requires a good driver. Yes im sure the weight makes heaps of a difference. Good luck in the future and maybe someday we will see you guys at an event.

"setting the record straight" umm...i hate to say this but twins turbo didn't build that car. yes its true that the car was there and that they did do "some"work. But the truth of the matter is that RRR bult the car way before it ever saw their garage. the engine suspension and oil coolers and interior were done buy that (RRR) shop. the body was done by auto explosion. Most of the work that WAS supposed to be done at twins was out-sourced to other people. All that was done at their shop was some fancy intercooler blocking...don't get me wrong it is good but it would be better if they were more honest about the work that they did.

Tear Down on 4/8/2006..
This is the Before engine pick. you FD guys might notice some changes.
New engine pick after we are finished. Nothing new here.
New Interior shot...Nothing new here......
thanks for giving me a reason to post some new pictures..I really don't know where some of you get this info from. Or why you would post things that you obviously have no clue as to what you are saying?. I would also love to hear what we "outsourced" please let me know, i am very interested..It's always fun to hear these things. Gets the day started with a good laugh, at FourtyFiveD's expense though, LOL...

old news buddy...sorry, cant you see the pictures?...i posted them right there?..what are you missing?..Im not trying to argue with you..Just correcting you facts?..why would you post bad info and then back it up with old info?...

BTW, those pics were taken late 05 early 06. No one ever said that the car came from MAZDA to our shop. there have been several shops working on Jacks car before us. as i stated we took the car completely apart, every nut and bolt. we fadded everything from scratch, I have over 300 pics of the build. as of today the only things left from anyone, person or shop are:
the old brakes which are 50% going to be changed before next season.
the rear diff which is still leaking thanks to one of the shops you noted.
and the shocks which Jack sets up himself.
I think if you believed what you are posting, then RRR must have a better car to race against us. Since this is our FIRST rotary, and you are a RRR guy then why not post pics of the OTHER RRR cars with the same fit and finish, details, and lap times, ect. they have been doing Rotary's for SOOOOOO long that they must have a fleet of cars that can easily take us out? right?
It is easy to hate on Twins Turbo, but im not sure why you are. I stated facts and shared our build with the community. somehow this offended you? why would you think we would take credit for another shops build? do you think they wouldn't find out?..RRR isnt even calamining to have built the car anymore......why post for?...what are you gaining?

I am wondering why, since you obviously were at our shop and know what we do, you are posting this junk all over the net?. I talked to you for maybe 3 minutes total.how could i have offended you..
All i am saying is MEN use their names when saying the kind of things you are saying.Spreading out and out lies. At least I now remember who you are. This is a very small industry Kevin, if you plan on being a part of it you should be more careful about spreading B.S. around. It always finds its home.

If you want to see some of their complete builds why dont you check out my thread. NO ONE ElSE has but ANY work into it except the engine that was built by Robert at rotary shack. Unless you are gonna start to count who made all the nuts and bolts cause we even fabbed some of those! HAHAHA! Funny Stuff!

Awesome job on the build up, as well as driving, too bad it cought fire
Jack Mardikian RX7 #333 : first session out Jack clocks a 1.49 which is SMOKING fast. the main competition after the first session was the HKS Mitsubishi evo8 which just happens to be the fastest time attack car in Japan currently. Jack had a new engine in our RX7 so we went out in the first session on low boost (9 psi). for the second session we turned him up to 14 psi and he managed to run a 1.48.5. that time beats the record in the unlimited RWD class and sets the mark as the fastest RWD time attack car in America. we were planning on turning up the boost for the next session to 19 psi, the normal boost setting we run with the car when jack came around the corner into the pitlane with his engine on fire!!!. my brother Marc jumped into the car and grabbed the extinguisher and began putting the fire out when the safety team got there and extinguished the fire. Jack was pulled out of the car by other team members and dragged to safety..the fire was out, everyone was ok but our day, and race car were done. cause of the fire is looking like a leaky oil pan spraying oil at 165 psi onto the header..that will do it..the good news, Jacks time on 1.48.3 stood the rest of the day and we ended up getting Second place overall to HKS, and first place in class with the class record to boot.
Bitter sweet indeed...
