Jeremy's RX-7 it hooking a bit better when he doesn't blow the tires off now that he's done some suspension tricks. We aren't sure if he caught me before or after the 1/4 mile mark

yeah, I figure the HP/Weight is much better. He said he dyno'd 330rwhp and I'd be surprised if I hit 300awhp.

so it makes sense that he's able to reel me in. I have a set of HKS 280cams, timing tensioner tool and ARP head bolts sitting beside me though

 

Def. a cool video. That evo gets off the line! That's what AWD will do for ya.
Rx-7's were not made for 1/4 mile racing, that's for sure.

Some questions:

7 is tt, on street tires?

How well do you launch against those V8's, you're near stock?

that's correct the RX-7 is on street tires, same as the evo but with 4 pulling

I typically out launch the F-bodies through first and 2nd even though they run drag radials, stall and do a burnout in VHT, but they reel me in after that.

 

Awesome vid. Loved the camera angle, especially it flopping over on the first run, that was definitely a winner.

 

God damn that evo takes off. Gotta love the beauty of all wheel drive.

That FD reels him in like no other though. Kinda amazing he did that only on stock twins.

too bad thats what most evo's on the street are used for anyway. people sticking in fatty turbos and street dragging. seems to be the same thing with the STi. so much for rally or track, eh ?
