FC ftw! Forza 2 for the XBox360....

meh. the mouse and I don't get along when it comes to games but I have played the demo ( the mouse might have been the reason I didn't like it) but everyone says it kills any other sim when used with the wheel.

haha yeah, pretty much. I absolutely love it. I find myself drifting more than anything though.

I really don't like drifting. I go for time attacks (I am always trying to get the best lap time and best overall race time and drifting only slows me down) when I play carreer mode. When I'm with Friends I always try to get to first and drift in their faces.

Gran Turismo set the standard on driving simulation. NO DOUBT about it.
forza is a great game in terms of sounds, tire marks, damage, point-to-point courses, and of course, ONLINE play. being a game for the Microsoft Xbox has really helped bring out the potential of the game. the playstation on the other hand is not capable of much (example: online play is not as user friendly as the Xbox and DOES NOT COMPARE to Xbox). however the PS3 WILL EXCEL in the years to come...
i think forza is a good game, but being a GT fanatic, i'll have to say forza is the "need for speed underground" version of Gran Turismo, offering bodykits and such.
the car companies licensed with Polyphony Digital (gran turismo makers) would NOT APPRECIATE seeing aftermarket paint jobs/bodykits or damage on their factory vehicles, which is the main reason GT did not have the damage feature (although they might have it on the PS3?). why have it anyway? it's just a game!! i guess the MARKET would appreciate it and it would be another reason to go out and buy the game... whatever.
and far as the video goes, it does look good and the cars sound terrific! but the graphics already look INFERIOR to gran turismo
don't get me wrong, forza 2 will be a great game, and i plan on buying it, but believe me when i say Gran Turismo 5 for the PS3 will blow it away!!!
my 2 cents...

Oh, it's all about time in the end. I only join drift servers to dick around for fun. But if I'm racing, i'm RACING.

the major problems with LFS are: it's buggy as hell, and there are no RX-7's.
in terms of realism, I dunno, I think they go TOO far with LFS, IMO it's much harder to drive a car in LFS then it is IRL. Then again, if I only had a keyboard to steer my rx-7, I may have a hard time doing it.
GT4 is pretty realistic. if I buy an FC, do the same mods (roughly) that mine has, it makes the same amount of power. If I then bring the same car to the drag strip, I run the same time with a similar trap.
Forza 1 for xbox I've played a bit, and I have to say, it was fun as hell. Especially that downhill course, I forget what it was called. me and a friend would always race down it, him in a stock supra turbo and me in a stock FC, and have a blast. If I could get an Xbox and forsa for a combined investment of under $100, I'd probably buy it.

on LFS's website, it doesn't really have any normal cars... I don't have the demo, nor have i played the game. But, do they have like skyline's and and supra's and 350z's and normal cars like that instead of track cars?

Great video. Very nice graphics in that game, it's very satisfying to see the individual layers of the FD's tailights with actual depth or all of the subtle angles around the rear of the hood/base of the windshield on the FC. Plus, the 350Z's engine sound is spot on.
However, what's up with the brake light illumination on the FC? Seems like only the outer two light up when it should be all 4, right? And what model FC is it? It has the US Badging and Mirrors, but is RHD. Euro Model maybe?
That's something that has always bothered me in Gran Turismo "The real driving simulator." Even in their fourth game, why don't the reverse lights operate, and why don't the tires leave marks? The ORIGINAL Need For Speed had these features in 1995 and the GT90's spoiler raised and lowered at the appropriate times...
Also, what's the deal with the physics engine in GT4? In GT3, I could slide the Tom's Castrol Supra around all day with ease, but in GT4 it's almost impossible to maintain a drift?
I do really like Gran Turismo (and own GT1-4), but I have a whole lot more fun with Project Gotham Racing. There is something about getting those Kudos that is quite fun and frustrating at the same time, lol. That game alone is almost reason enough to but an XBOX.
