Cullasaja River Gorge (Pics)
Today was the day that I decided to venture up to parts of a run that I haven't really explored. I have been to the entrance and surrounding areas a couple of times but that side of the range has been on the back burner for about a year it seems. I started out and just poked shifting around 3k rpms to just explore and take pictures. I was in awe finding the run littered w/ signs "20-15 mph curves next 40 miles"!
I drove and took pictures. I then packed my camera up and enjoyed 35 miles of the most technical stretch of road I have driven in a while. I was having a blast! Just cruising and it was SOOO tight. Cliff walls were everywhere and on the other side of the rails... and stone walls was the Cullasaja River Gorge. It was foggy and just looked eerie but awesome! I plan on making it back up to show some friends in time b/c the fog does no justice at how deep some of the valleys were and steep the sides were of the road. I didn't snap too many pictures of the actual technical part of the road. Maybe in time when and if I ride passenger I will get some but I plan on getting some video of the entire run up b/c its amazin.
Thanks for looking and hope you guys enjoy the pictures!
